A few of my concepts in picture

If you haven't watched my YouTube video where I covered the featured dlcs on this thread, I do prefer animal packs, so I have changed some of and provided the concepts in their individual images as all animal packs, there are scenery packs for the Islands and Highlands, but I would prefer them both to have animal packs and the ones after as there are several fantastic choices for the different regions.

New Enrichment Items and Update Features: Medium and Large Hollow Logs and Concrete Pipes for Tasmanian Devil, Felines, Canids, Hyenas, Otters, Meerkats, Armadillos and Prairie Dogs. Ice Floats for the Walrus, King Penguin and Polar Bear. Primates and Fossa having the ability to hop from tree to tree or post to post. Penguin Burrows for Little Penguins and African Penguins.

New Enrichment Items: Overhang Shelters that act as hard shelter for animals that can be placed with rocks, on walls and barriers. Climbing Cliffs for Gelada, Markhor, Ibex, Dall Sheep, Bears, Cougar, Pallas's Cat, Snow Leopard and Japanese Macaque. Natural barrier pieces like naturalistic concrete walls, naturalistic concrete cliffs and rocks, a new rock theme could be naturalistic concrete rocks (this could be part of the free update). Beaver Lodge that can be placed on the water bodies the beavers interact with is featured in the free update. The Overhang Shelters, Climbing Cliffs, Natural Barrier Pieces and Beaver Lodge will be part of the free update.

New Enrichment Items: Fishing Pool for the Fishing Cat, Cranes and Large Bears. Arboreal and Hanging Enrichment items from trees (some can be recycled from the walkthrough exhibits) for Linnaeus's Two-Toed Sloth, Geoffroy's Spider Monkey, Golden Lion Tamarin, South American Coati, Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo, Primates, Red Panda, Binturong, Raccoon, Small Cats. Climbing and brachiating ropes. A Chameleon feeding show in the exhibit presentations. Crocodilian feeding shows (keepers entering the habitats of the crocodilians and feeding them with meat from a rope on a stick, a specific feeding point is placed on the edge of the water with a ramp for the crocodilians to go up towards the keeper with the food. Salt Lick enrichment for all habitat animals (can be like the frozen fruit and frozen fish blocks). Large, Medium and Small Riverside Burrows for Crocodilians and Platypus. The Riverside Burrows, Climbing and Brachiating Ropes, Crocodilian Feeding Shows, Salt Licks and Fishing Pool could be part of the free update.

New Enrichment Items: Misters for all animals (these can be for guests as well). Wallaby Climbing Rocks (3 variations) for Yellow-Footed Rock Wallaby. Honey Log, Honey Block, Honey Dish for Honey Badger, Bears, Anteaters, Aardvarks, Pangolins and Primates. Modular Hammocks with different variations (small, medium, large) that can be placed with climbing frames. New Feeder Types like posts of varying heights that have clumps of food strung up on them, special treats like large portions of meat and bones as a bit of enrichment, different kinds of feeding and water troughs that can be placed on walls and barriers. Animals Sun Shaders that act much like the Modular Hammocks, just not interactable by animals, there can be triangles, squares and rectangles of varying sizes. The Animal Sun Shaders, Misters, New Feeders and Modular Hammocks could be part of the Free Update.

Ocelots live in deserts?
They definitely aren't as known for it as they are for living in tropical regions, but it does happen, as others have mentioned. Brookfield Zoo, for instance, keeps an ocelot (or ocelots?) in its desert house, across from some coatis. And it would actually provide a bit of balance to get them in a desert pack, considering how many species we got in the Grasslands Animal Pack that most would associate with deserts over grasslands.

That said, I'd still prefer them in a tropical pack (likely at the expense of the fishing cat) and the sand cat in a desert pack.

They can be found throughout Mexico and into the Sonoran Desert

Maybe not true deserts but I can find sources for semi deserts, savanna grasslands and brushland. Ocelots can rarely be found as far north as Arizona

Historically, they were also found in northeast Texas, which is swamps and coniferous forests. From Mexico until about Corpus Christi area is arid, as well

Great concept arts!
Playing a little with your own replacement options, I would change:
  • Little penguin to rockhopper, just because I like it more (it also feels a bit more antarctic); walrus to kagu, because I want more non Australian animals from Oceania; and lories to tuatara because it's better to wait for Aviary DLC.
  • Wolverine to beautiful Himalayan monal, because we need birds and it works with current non-flying mechanics; and kea to giant salamander, because I want equally both but don't think kea is suitable for walkthrough exhibits and also better waiting for Aviary DLC.

That way the Islands Pack becomes a Tropical Islands Pack, we save 2 Arctic species for a different pack (headliner the walrus, with the wolverine and then musk ox and mute swan for example), and 2 bird species for later when we have aviaries with flying animations. I wanted to include the ocelot and the African wild donkey but wasn't convinced about which ones to remove in their place, maybe fishing cat and addax or dromedary?

Interesting choices, I have future plans for some of those species

These would genuinely be amaaaazing packs, greatly done.
I'm missing a porcupine or any kind of waterfowl, but you can't get everything I guess. Anyways, I hope this year brings us something similar!

These are final decided concepts for my 3rd and perhaps final video of the series, which is basically the final verdict on all the pack ideas on what looks the best, these are for part 1 based off of some of the feedback on this thread. Don't worry about some missing animals that have been spoken of above, they will appear in the next 2 videos.

Edit: I forgot I didn't change the Kea out for the Chinese Giant Salamander, sorry for any confusion
