A group for Dads?

A group for Dads/Family members and those with a busy career

An idea I've been toying with is a player group aimed specifically at family types such as Dads, Mums, Husbands, wives etc

The reason for this is that having kids or a busy career means you can't always schedule when you are going to be playing games, and having a group that brings the types of CMDRs together might help in organising some time to wing up

Whilst the initial idea was primarily aimed at us Dad Commanders out there, the idea has evolved far beyond that, the group is open to anyone - Dads, Mums, Husbands, Wives - basically anyone who struggles to balance family life or a busy career with their Pilots Federation career :)

You should call it "The Parents" and send chills up the spine of all the kiddie gankers out there when they find The Parents are out to get them :-D

Great idea and I'd certainly be interested in joining.

How about 'Progenitors'? - a person or thing from which a person, animal, or plant is descended or originates; an ancestor or parent.

Could work. I may be biased though since I have been a member of a gaming clan with similar ideas since 2007. We cover a multitude of games and have grown quite a bit since then but don't have many members who have Elite Dangerous. if you or anyone else would like to check us out go to http://www.maanclan.com We are just a bunch of married guys who know how life can sometimes get in the way of gaming. Just a good casual clan of gamers who play a multitude of things. I know I certainly would like to get to know some people playing ED though so look for Cmdr Jeff257 and you will find me in the black.

I'm already part of a multi game Clan/Community that was founded for this very reason. I've toyed with the idea of expanding out to this game, but we haven't created an official group yet. I'm still trying to figure that out.

In case any of you guys want to join us, we have few rules/requirements outside of being a dad.

Watch the language used (little ears)
We use Discord for communicating with the clan.

hi just rejoined game after playing beta and first few months on pc (before it blew up) now just started again on ps4 , few questions i only play one or 2 nights a week due to work, would there be a problem with hardly playing and if this is ok do you use in voice comm?

No problem whatsoever, you can play as little or as often as you like, and I have a mic as do a couple of others, or you can use in game text chat if you prefer, there are no rules for comms :)
