A joke animal? Would y'all be cool with it?

I think, like the Zoo Tycoon games, I wouldn't be mad at the inclusion of a joke animal or an animal that makes no sense in the context of the other species.

Could be a unicorn, dragon, a jackalope, etc.

I think it would be cool... especially if it were more "amazing" than "joke" like a unicorn or yeti. Always wanted a Jackalope in Zoo Tycoon actually...

If they are free, sure. Not paying for that though and deffinetly don't want them to take a spot for other real animals.

Yeah I'm with you there, but even then, if we're getting a free animal I was rather it wasn't a gag character.

I do not want them added as a new species, free or not.

However, maybe in the form of a reskin cheat for fun, like the cheat that makes the animals extra puffy? For example, renaming an animal a certain code changes them into a cryptid/mythical animal? Zebra becoming a unicorn, gorilla becoming a yeti, etc.

I missed that about zoo tycoon 1. I don't really want a bunch of cryptids, but I kind of miss building an otherwise normal zoo and then sticking a unicorn in the middle of it.

Yes very much so. This is the best option. If we ever get a rockhopper penguin they should just make this a variant with .5% chance of appearing and not mention in the patch notes.

I would be down for that, it would be a cool reference and a throwback to the Zoo Tycoon days, the Unicorn, Yeti, Bigfoot, Lock Ness, add the jackelope and it would be the bees knees.
