A little Clarity

Really I just want a little clarity on what is going on with EDO and consoles, there are numerous rumours, opinions, suppositions, suggestions, possibilities (Some are getting a little frsutrating) and possibly a few deliberate wind ups ;). I get that there are opinions that EDO is unrefined for want of a better word (Long Day At Work) and possibly needs optimisation but again there is nothing official about how this affects the console release plenty being said by people who say they are in the know and possibly from people who aren't. It has been portrayed before that rumours surrounding console are exactly that and don't hold much weight but amongst the innumerable amount of posts what may happen to the console release there is yet to be anything official only source of information is from cmdr's who are mostly well intentioned but evidently are basing it on one sided information i.e. the pc release.

Essentially over six months on there has to be something that can be put forward over what are the stumbling blocks, concerns maybe even limitations on console because at present don't even know if it will be released on my console and to be honest I would prefer facts over possibilities or No News.

Hope your able to help with this @Bruce G even if its just an acknowledgement that something can be said.

I think there’s a huge amount of stuff being made up by people who pretend to be in the know. Frankly there are only a few people who really are, and none of them write things here on the forums.

Im not trying to sound, or be argumentative - it’s simply my point that if people didn’t know the forums and the usual contributors, they could believe a bunch of stuff written here and form all sorts of opinions and misinformed views, and this is simply dangerous, and rubbish!

At the end of the day, what you wrote is spot on - we don’t know as there has been no information beyond what you wrote, and simply that is the known truth. It is frustrating, but it is what it is.

Do you have any information on Odyssey on consoles?
There currently isn't any new information to share in terms of Odyssey on consoles. We hear you, as soon as we do have something worth sharing with you, we will. At the moment, work is focused on PC optimisation.

Immediately both sides are approaching massively again and this Tread continues in the same wheel as always.

So we wait from patch 10 of 11 we'll see what's coming. 🎓🍳🥚

@Bruce G How do its been another very long day in the Nhs as I'm sure your used to so pardon me if I get straight to the point, but I'm guessing as no rep/like I can file it under the No News category and make an assumption that it ain't coming on my console cheers for what your doing anyways (y)

Frontier is one of the worst companies regarding communication with their audience although the race for this coveted award is very strong. They just don't care. They told us long ago: they will say something if or when they want to. There is no console Odyssey in development. This is (still) the current state. I don't expect them to ever do it now, it's just a disaster even after 10 updates, which is ridiculous in itself.

I wouldn’t not take the term ,,worst,, I would choose this, they are heavy way back in there own promise to support games long term, as I mentioned before, they described themself as a company who would like to build long term relationship with all things which is related to this, but at the moment that isn’t 100 % true

Yeah, I don't think we're going to get it, either. They're still working out some kinks that are evident even on monster PCs, I don't expect my ancient xbox to handle it without issues.

I don't mind so much, though. I play Elite to fly spaceships, and there's not a lot of games that let me do that. There's plenty of slick FPS games out there already if I need that fix.

How can you pretend EDO does not exist, while being constantly shown in the righthandsided panel the new EDO-storages? It is only there to remind us, that we are second class...?! Don't know....

As long as it stays this way, there is no information on my side when to spend money on arx or other FDev games... Sorry, no information.

I think the storage tab is there as a step towards combining EDH and EDO, not as a reminder of anything. It’s be like saying the transfer tab is there to remind someone they can’t afford a FC. That said, I’m with you on the Arx. I’m not spending any money on in game cosmetics for a game where I don’t know whether they’re going to bring EDO to console or cancel it along with EDH. No more money from me for the arx store until a lot of this uncertainty it cleared.
