A major problem with Franchise

I have a big big problem. I mainly play franchise, but it's getting almost impossible to actually enter my franchise zoo's. The problem have only gotten worse over time. Last year I only occasionally had problems, but lately it's constantly... Today I have tried getting into my franchise zoo's for over nine!!! hours without success!

When trying to enter my franchise zoo's one of 4 things happen;
1. The globe spins for a few minutes before I recieve a "the franchise server had an internal server error" and I get ported back to the main menu. This Always happens a few times before I can enter my franchise zoo's and have been happening for ages.
2. The globe just keeps spinning forever. When this happens the only action I can take is to close the game and start over.
3. I manage to get to the franchise zoo page. But when clicking on a zoo I either get into the zoo for one second before getting another loadingscreen and getting ported back to the main menu or the loadingscreen keeps going forever. When this happens it's the same as the forever spinning globe, my only option is to forcefully close the game and start over again.
4. I manage to actually get into one of my zoo's and play the game. Unfortunately this is becoming increasingly rare and can take hours...

This problem is only with franchise as I can get into any other game mode in seconds without ever having any problem.

Does anyone else have this problem? Am I just very unfortunate, is it due to my franchise being big (I have over a hundred zoo's and probably almost a hundred thousand animals) or is this a common problem with franchise?

Frontier, I hope you read this and are able to give tips for a fix or at least make the problem less frequent in a future update.

You're not alone!

I get your #1 nearly every time I open the game. (The globe spins for a few minutes before I receive a "the franchise server had an internal server error" and I get ported back to the main menu.) For me, it usually happens two to three times, but eventually lets me in on the third or fourth attempt. Happens every time I open the game for the first time that day. And also happens fairly frequently if I log out of one zoo and try to enter another one. But even then, it usually lets me in on the third or fourth try.

I get a version of your #3 a few times a week. (the zoo opens for one second before getting another loading screen and getting ported back to the main menu). For me when this version happens, it usually only happens once and I'm able to get into that zoo on the next try.

I also have one particular franchise zoo that I haven't been able to get into since the drop of the North America pack, but since it's only that one zoo I assume there must be something wrong with that file. I had another zoo that wouldn't let me in for a long time (like months), but then I tried one day and it magically opened up, so I'm still holding out hope that the other one may get a miracle some day too.

I don't use mods and verify my game frequently (Verifying doesn't immediately seem to fix anything for me, but I assume it's beneficial to keep doing it over time).

I don't have any solutions, but wanted to confirm that you're not the only one (and maybe see if others have solutions).

Do you have any mods?
Have you verified the game files?

I don't have any mods and I verify my gamefiles regularly.

Edit: One wierd thing I have noticed though. If I only try and open franchise with no other program open, or some random internet sites open (like youtube), I have major problems. But if I open World of Warcraft and then open Planet zoo, it's way easier to get into franchise. Like today, I tried getting into franchise for hours and hours without any luck, but then I decided to play some WoW and all of a sudden, I got into my franchise zoo's in just a few minutes :O

Interesting about the WoW improving perfomance for PZ. I wonder if anyone with greater tech expertise might have a theory on why that is. Maybe it keeps the connection constant somehow, rather than going through a reconnect?
