A message from Salomé

For those like me who recognize reddit as where things go when 4chan flushes, the message reads as follows:

"It's really cold where the dead go. Stay alive as long as possible."

Agreed about reddit. For some reason though, FDev seem to like to leak stuff there.

"The dead know only one thing: It is better to be alive."

As far as Salami's message, to sum it up: "There's a conspiracy! I have proof! But I'm not explaining what that proof was and now I'm dead so I guess... just believe me blindly!"

Salome: EVERYTHING IS A CONSPIRACY, I DONT HAVE PROOF THOUGH, KILL ALL TRADERS, BOUNTY HUNTERS, AND EXPLORERS TO STOP THEM FROM HELPING THE CONSPIRACY!

I did not expect that kind of message to be asked for by Salome lol

Hm, those Logs are about as useful as the staged Salomé Event.

I know stuff, I have proof! But instead of presenting any, I'd rather waste your precious time with irrelevant tangents.

Good job Salomé, now we know exactly as much as before :D

PS.
In order to "mislead", one 1st has to : lead.
And that... none of the so-called SuperPowers, Powers, Corporations or Factions do. We, the Commanders usually do. Not them. They're all just passive spectators waiting for our Inputs, at best they occasionally fire up a small CG.

Message to Salomé : You know, when you're telling those little Stories... Here's a good idea : have a Point!

Proof? You don't need proof, bad things happened to her and there is a conspiracy that can't be substantiated by her, that alone means it's time to stop all Commerce, with force if necessary!

Who would have guess Salome would be for 'ganking?' I did not see that one coming at all.

So.... the Federation knew. The Alliance knew. The Empire knew.

Whoever is behind all this, knew that the Thargoids were coming back and did not warn us. They plotted their secret contingency plan without letting the galactic community know. They didn't give us a guide, a path to follow, a way to fight together against the incoming darkness!

And they killed the one who was closer to uncover it all.

Always remember.

Time to get my White Star for a walk to Achenar...

That's more a message to Drew Wagar, I think.

Who said anything about Thargoids?

Consider this, a group that was explicitly for fighting Thargoids (Circle of Independent Elite Pilots IIRC) was infiltrated and decimated by the Alliance in the book 'And Here the Wheel'. Sure their methods were extreme, but the Alliance didn't know that going in. They are far more interested in stopping anti-Thargoid efforts than the Federation, who were interested but more in CIEP stealing their weaponry, and the Empire, who didn't seem to care in the slightest.

And unlike the Empire and Federation, the Alliance has never been willing to work with INRA, in fact they go out of their way to stop that organization. The conspiracy, should it be true, may exist within all the superpowers, but the Alliance is likely the most heavily infiltrated. You should be going to Alioth first on your tour TBH.

Edit: furthermore, the brush wars mentioned in Salome's post are consistent with Alliance Civil war operations, they are confirmed to favor this tactic in the book mentioned above, moreso than the other powers.

I think the important thing here is Salome's call for independent pilots - us - to fight the existing powers, set blockades, and all that.

Essentially, we're being told we don't have to play Elite like a passive videogame, where you can only ever expect scripted responses. If we strategically play the background sim - and make it clear we're doing so via things like Galnet articles - we can play it more like a pen and paper RPG, something with a real human game master controlling things and reacting to our how our actions affect the BGS.

It's basically telling us how to play to actively interact with the story.

Caveat, I might be biased given that I've been calling for players to do just that for some time.
