A new approach to an anarchy farm

I've been watching the decline of anarchy factions, and I find it quite sad..!

Together with some friends, we've transformed the CD-51 2650 system. We've taken control of the system for the native anarchy faction, and then pushed the inf down to to 1% while retaining control of the system, 3 space ports, and 44 settlements (agricultural, high tech, industrial, military, and tourism). This means that you can you can raid the 44 settlements, and shoot any ship in the system (if not close to a base belonging to another faction) without getting any "bounty or notoriety". The system also has the new protect missions where the plod turns up with flashing lights, and you can knock yourself out taking down the fuzz. It also causes many new missions to be created in the nearby systems.

Please note that if you start using this as a farming ground, you are actually actively helping to keep the anarchy at 1% influence, and thus invulnerable to conflict. The more you hit it, the safer it will be. This in stark contrast to Iah Bulu where there is a player faction that has to undo the damage that you do to them!

The best settlement that I've found so far is Penfold Tourism Resort on body 1 c, it gives more than 120 assets per run.. All the settlements are low gravity and a lot of fun for using a jetpack.

So please help us preserve anarchy in the galaxy by hitting the CD-51 2650 Purple Gang very hard, it's for their own good! :D

huh, cool! I see how keeping station/settlements and a low influence works, but how'd you manage to maintain system controller status at 1% influence?? I'd always thought that it was always the faction with the highest influence.

Iah Bulu is too crowded anyhow. I'll check out CD-51 2650 tonight. If it looks do-able for my playstyle, I'll park my new FC in or near the system, and set both my commanders loose on it. Thanks for the info sharing the fruits of your labor!

Edit: deserved more appreciation :)

It's not controlled by the influence but rather by ownership of the main space station.

We took ownership of the controlling space station for the anarchists, and then manipulated the other factions into conflict while the anarchy dropped past them in influence down to 1%. If you all start farming it instead of Iah Bulu it ought to be safe against attempts to undo what we've created.

I found the perfect spot for my farming needs. My carrier is inbound as I type this. Thanks again!

In case anyone is wondering, it appears that there are 51 settlements, and 45 are owned by CD-51 2650 Purple Gang (from Inara).

I still object to having to be a thief or mass murderer to farm materials, such bad design. Also, maybe I am blind, but there is no Material Trader for Odyssey materials, which would alleviate the need to massacre entire settlements for bits of data.

Bartenders at stations will trade ody mats, but not "goods" or "data".

Good thing you don't then.

There's also fleet carrier bars that might trade data or goods.
Currently the recurved wisdom is to look on Inara for possible trades. However I think a better solution would be to have a couple of systems where carriers selling mats could gather. This would make it easier for Cmdrs to visit and browse.

Regarding bars, I can add that of course our little system features a few stations with bartenders buying drugs and other illegal substances, and Pioneer supplies sells e-breaches for those that need some.. :)

Half of the EDO mats are completely useless as well. It's because "quantity over quality" is the way of the world today. If they improved the efficiency (quality) of collecting, that would reduce login times (quantity). That's no longer considered profitable in online gaming. I don't like it either, but we're part of a minority. The younger generations' "ooh shiny" mentality will always win out.

If game companies want to exploit my time for their benefit, so be it. That's why I now enjoy exploiting their game mechanics for my benefit. It's somewhat challenging, and I consider it a fair trade-off.

Currently I have quantity of 100 e-breaches, but I like to keep my supply topped up. Thanks Jack for leading the Group and cmdr_sighman plus a good few others on converting CD-51 2650 System to an Anarchy (Purple Gang) farming heaven, with 45 Settlements owned by CD-51 2650 Purple Gang (with a total of 51 Settlements - according to Inara). [Bravo 2 Zero]

Just to point out that it was a communal effort and I didn't start it. It was commander sighman that found the systems and started on the project.

FWIW, I think the total is 44 settlements, 2 outposts and 1 planetary port.

The system also has res sites and it looks likely that there will be a lot of war. We've noticed missions in surrounding systems too, so with a bit of luck there will also be stackable kill pirate missions. Think I'm gonna hang out here for a while as there's quite a lot of fun to be had in this single system.

I don't understand BGS mechanics too well because I never really cared. How much work is it to keep that system in the state you guys brought it to, i.e. keeping the faction in control while everyone is beating on them?
