A Note for Arthur, Paul, and the rest of the FDev Community Management Team

For what it’s worth: I have so many posters on the forum on Ignore that some threads are just impossible to read. And that’s the ignore feature doing it’s job I guess.

I come to the forums for up to date news on the game I love. But lately it feels like 8-10 people here are just constantly squatting and throwing their all negative all the time views into every thread.
I gotta ask all you negative Nancy’s: isn’t there something more productive you could or should be doing with your time?

For what it's worth, I only just the other day considered putting someone on ignore, after he/she seemed intent on salting any contribution I made, supposed forum rules notwithstanding. Haven't done it, still.

(But possibly, this poster already has me on ignore?)

The thread quickly veered into a different direction than its original purpose, and looking back perhaps I feel a bit guilty for being part of that.
Good.
The fact that double standards are being applied when it comes to breaking forum rules ("discuss the post not the poster") depending on who you are certainly contributed to the tone of my response though.
There aren't any double standards being applied. The second poster in this thread already called the OP a troll and you indirectly supported him in that opinion in the following discussion. So far nobody deleted that comment, am I right?
I probably should've just flicked back a snarky one-liner or meme, and not get baited into for tat arguments, but couldn't resist to offer my genuine viewpoints as that is what I thought a discussion forum is for. My bad and I won't do it again, no worries.
Maybe it would help if you just stop acting like a prima donna. ;)

That's almost literally adding insult to injury (you can tell I don't really buy his "it was just a joke lol" line but whatever).

From previous experiences, neither do I (albeit, going back to almost the start of my time on these boards, so if I have individuals confused, my advance apologies).

When I or my siblings would break something in the house, and profess our sorrow, my father would say, "Don't be sorry, be careful'. Maybe not that helpful a guideline, but as 'Sorry' butters no parsnips in the criminal courts, post hoc attempts to water down a ratty post probably shouldn't, either.

NB, I'm well aware that this post, and others (not just mine), will be viewed as 'evidence for the prosecution'. As I said, I'm happy for this thread to exist, and the replies to it, but if others aren't happy with all of the latter, maybe they should have queried the former?

Which gets me back to the point of the first post I made in this thread.

That person a lot less likely to hop on the table and advocate for a community that spouts constant insults, abuse, demands, and threats, and throws a tantrum the second they feel their nose is slightly out of joint.
also makes them less likely to do it when they know management will ignore them anyway. I mean management ignores their own dev team when it comes to suggestions. (I've read a number of glassdoor reviews, where ex employees comment that, suggestions offered by dev members goes largely ignored by management.)
