A Polite Request

Given that we learned that it wasn't "Pirate goes legit" and instead "Legit goes pirate goes legit again", it was an interesting reveal. Now I hope we have a chance to find Defries alive, and not fried alive rimshot

Also, what's up with the codex... I didn't find those logs there... But it's the exact time (one of them, the transfer receipt, is on the codex alright, with the correct timestamp).

I'm still curious about the amount on that log. It talks about 100 million, but transfers indicate 50 million. Also not sure if Bud only took his cut as meant, or if he stole from Defries... Dang, I hate cliffhangers, specially and I'm hooked.

Most materials are floating way above the ground, like above the SRV's height, or in totally inaccessible places.

I was able to pick up some of them by jumping with the SRV, but others like that hybrid capacitor where simply impossible.

I do not remember getting that after scanning the data point. Or I was just blind… not that I’d really need those, mind you.

Inara says 10m on data point scan plus the 1m with the thank you message.

PS: Not that I need them either, lol.

There are five logs, but there are not five uplinks.
Yeah, I wasn't sure if some of them were unlocking when I scanned previous ones, or if I had to re-scan some of them or what. But I got them all - I'm assuming the message from Wallglass came when I got them all since I had all five numbered logs plus the bank transfer details.

I’m fairly sure there is five uplinks in that settlement. I was at 4/5 logs at one point and confused, then a fifth uplink popped up as a sensor contact when in the right spot(alongside the four that I had already scanned).

There certainly were five in my contacts panel. Just seems tricky to get them to all show up at once, due to placement.

That... is weird. Those aren't the messages that showed up at the site.

Is The Inside Man a thing that happened for a previous event?
regarding this, the logs that appeared in my codex today - I followed the coordinates to Belu and there was a crashed ship (though the lat/long coordinates were transposed compared to what's in the log text - I checked the correct order just to be sure and there was nothing there.

Nothing special, just your usual ship PoI that looks like a regular tip-off mission site, including the ship data core not doing anything when scanned outside of the correct time window.

edit: unless this counts, not sure at what point this showed up

I found a sixth uplink after getting all five logs but it was a dud, it gave the already scanned message and sound.

Ah, so if I had scanned the sixth one before finishing the five with correspondence in them, the email would have been slightly different? I did wonder about that.

Guys, I think I'm doing this wrong. :) How was the correct base (Wishford) deduced?

I scanned all the landable planets in the system, found a place called Brackett Prospect, which was the only thing that looked even slightly like a clue.

Surface scan of planet(moon)
A 7 A. The clue lies in it not having any landable settlements.
It’s a simple brute force ‘puzzle’, telling you to basically do surface scans of [distant] landable bodies in the system.

I was honestly expecting somewhere at the further stars when they said that. Also, how do I blur text here again?
