Independent, but as a military equipment supplier it'd be hard to be truely independent.

Dangerous Discussion isn't the best place to learn about lore. Right now everyone is just looking for an excuse to deploy handbag hardpoints.

Oh dear, yeah you're right.

Currently using the Xbox browser, must have double-hit a button.

Move requested. :)

Faulcon DeLacy is the result of a merge between Faulcon Manspace and DeLacy Shipworks. Regarding ties to any superpower, the Faulcon DeLacy Headquarters is based in the Reorte system; which is controlled by the Alliance. That's all I remember off the top of my head in terms of Faulcon DeLacy relations to any power.

Thank you guys. I have the wiki page open now. I'm looking for as much information as possible on this company, Cowell & McGrath, and the Cobra family.

I see Reorte is where the current office is.

Officially completely neutral, but currently based in alliance space but has no further ties with them. It's only Core Dynamics, Gutamaaya and nowadays Lakon that have any official ties to any of the factions, all the other manufacturers are completely independent.

Indeed. The wiki & everything else suggest, well, in many aspects that DeLacy itself is the superpower, frequently absorbing other companies.

As noted Faulcon DeLacy is the result of a merge between Faulcon Manspace and DeLacy Shipworks.

Faulcon Manspace started in Reorte but predates the Alliance of independent systems.

If we go by the Elite Manual
The Viper Series was designed by Faulcon Manspace and manufactured under licence everywhere
The Krait was a Faulcon DeLacy deisgn manufactured by DeLacy Shipworks
The Sidewinder Mk.I was a Faulcon deLacy design manufactured in the Onrira Orbital Shipyards by Spalder and Starblaze Inc.

over the years it has acquired the rights to
The Anaconda designed by Beerbaum and ThruSpace Inc. and produced by RimLiner Galactic
The Mark.I Cobra manufacturd by Paynou, Prossett and Salem
the Mark IIII Cobra manufactured by Cowell & MgRath Shipyard, Lave
The Python designed and manufactured by Whatt and Pritney ShipConstruct (this is noted in the ED description of the ship)

Not in ED
The Eagle long range Fighter Mk.I which the Core Dynamics Eagle Mk.II and Gutamaya Eagle Mark.IIII were developed from was a Faulcon DeLacy deisgn
From the EDRPG the Boa.MkII is a Faulcon DeLacy where as the original Boa was a Gerege Federation Space Works refresh of the Python, but the Boa Mk.II is a Megaship sized vessel so if it is just a reuse of the name is possible as it is not a refresh of the Python being much larger than the Anaconda (which may tie in to the FE2 and FEE Boa being a shi larger than the Anaconda but smaller than the Panther clipper)
EDRPG also attributes the Mamba to Falcoun DeLacy when they were originally custom racers standardised by Raddlett and Rayburn Shipyards also out of Reorte

However I don't think that Faulcon DeLacy is unique in this matter as all the Major shipyards seem to be the results of Mergers and take overs resulting in the 6 majors players we have now.
Lakon, Saud Kruger, and Zorgon Petersen Group all had one design in Elite and seem to have acquired and absorbed more over time in additional to their originals own designs

The ED RPG does include the Pereze Corporation Merlin so suggests not all shipyards have been absorbed and bought out.
