A question about multicrew exploration

I was recently using the multicrew function for exploration on a friend's ship. A few notable things when I exited multicrew...

When leaving multicrew after helping with scanning systems, I did not receive any credits. I can understand that, as we didn't kill anything.

I also did not receive any exploration information to sell.

Do I have to wait until my friend returns to get any credits or do I simply not get paid at all?

I still found it enjoyable either way but defeats the purpose of multicrew. So far the only way I know of to make money in multicrew is bounty hunting.

Any one with more info would be of great help.

From what I have read, multi-crew exploration does not reward the crew...

Have a read of this post, specifically the last point in the spoiler.

Whether this is intentional, an oversight, a bug, I'm afraid I don't know, but at least you have an answer.

Just get paid for bounties, I think. Tried it with a mate, couldn't stay in multi-crew long enough to find out.

He gave up playing. On long hauls I'd sometimes pan to the empty chair while playing sad songs.

They specifically said this update should allow exploration rewards to be shared in multicrew as it allows them to know you did something unlike previously, so, this is evidently either a bug, or an oversight.
