A Question for FDev.

We have identified an issue where certain actions are being excessively used for Powerplay gains.
In order to investigate and resolve this issue we are temporarily suspending Powerplay gains via the following methods:
  • Rare Goods Trading
  • Settlement Data Delivery This is now enabled
  • Escape Pods
Once we have resolved this issue these options will be enabled again.
Thank you for your continued reports and feedback on Powerplay 2.0.

If this is still true about rare goods and escape pods, how can I complete this first assignment, so I can rank up in Powerplay 2.0 ? (See below).

I tried the rare goods twice. Both times I had no problem selling them but as you can see I got no credit for completing the tasks.
In addition, the way its phrased...
suspending Powerplay gains
suggests that the gains for ranking up in Powerplay have been the things affected. Which has been my experiencee.

Based on my experience yesterday...I believe they have fixed it. After following the tutorial (just before your post) I was able to sell the rare goods and get credit for completing the task. :)

So, which of the steps outlined in this tutorial thing tripped you up? Did you store your rare goods on a fleet carrier and / or try to use stored rare gods for the task?

Neither of those things were problematic for me.

I had to learn how to use the PowerPlay menu in the galaxy map in order to follow the guidelines on purchase and dispersal of the rare goods.

So... is the real issue that you have to buy the rares in your power's region of influence? That would be new. I am really interested in why this weekly sometimes fails.

Of course there is always the possibility that it does so because there is no real cause behind it and, sometimes, the servers just bug out 🤷‍♂️ .
