General / Off-Topic a quick question for Windows 10 users.

I'm not quite fond of the flat design and trashing of Aero since it repeats history and second I personally want a more shinier/glass look for my computer. Right now I have Windows 7 Home Premium and i'm wondering if Windows 10 even has any options that can change the task bar from blank black to a different colour? Are there any personalization options that apply to transparency and making them look shinier than flat? Iv'e heard of stuff you can download for this, but I would like to hear if Windows 10 is planning to add these customization options or if they have any at this time instead of downloading them.

Please do not try to convince me into using the flat design and tell me it's more easier to use. It is my own choice of personalization. Thanks.

Yep, you can adjust the transparency and also the colour. By default it picks a colour from your bg wallpaper.

Edit* Just checked. No options to make stuff shinier though

At the risk of sounding clichéd If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I really wish I could go back to XP.

But stuck with W10.

It depends, do you want full ssd and directx 12 support, then you need win 10, If not, stick with win 7

Some articles and benchmarks show it's often the same performance pretty much.

I have seen that before. As for now, i'm trying to see if there's any kind of options similar to that already set in Win 10. Thanks anyways, though.
