A Year of Anarchy In Colonia

Well, naturally I have to give my five cents to this awesome story...
I was often in Colonia before the Reapers arrived and had a nice fleet of five ships. Knew phisto from the forums, and I guess ingame at that time already, too.
So when I heard they want to stir up the pot a bit, I was thrilled. First I was in only for the PvP that brought to Colonia, which was sorely lacking in that regard.
And the thought of having an Anarchy Port pulled me in, albeit I'm not a big BGS fan. And then we unlocked the Alliance and Fed ships and I was thrilled. We really made a difference. It was amazing.
And the narrative shifted to our side of anarchists. We made lots of friends, people came to Colonia because of our doings. That was really awesome stuff.
And we had fun. And still have.
So come to Colonia. Could be that you blow up, cleansed by Colonia Jesus' holy frag pallets, or murderhobo'd by one of us. Perhaps. Perhaps not. But I promise you won't find a better group of players to have fun with, laugh, do hilarious shenanigans or simply run missions not alone. The game feels very alive that way and it's still amazing.

Reapers. Damn. Respect. Well played and congratulations. The bubble is starting to feel smaller every day. I can't wait to get out there.

My main went out when Phisto appealed for folk to come out to level up the engineers a bit, I went out for the jaunt, thought to stop for a couple of weeks, then forgot to go back...
Being invited to join the Reapers and still being able to do the things I enjoy was fine - getting into a couple of wars and playing alongside these fantastic pilots was some of the best fun I've had that didn't involve a fair maiden or slightly illicit substances...
Main is still there today, doing 'stuff' for The Nameless and still 100% Reaper, I'd agree wholeheartedly - come out and play, even if you don't want just combat, we have the best in exploration and mining right on our doorstep 👍

I don't think anyone knows for sure. It was a huge surprise to all of us. Best guess might be there's some kind of hidden values for Anarchy factions that unlock stuff when they take control. @Ian Doncaster (Colonia Census Expert Man) might know more. I think @Ouberos has done some research into this matter as well?

Plenty of Anarchies offer a wider range of Ships, both imperial and federal. I guess it stands to reason Alliance ships would be represented too.

What's more interesting is the name (Pardon the pun) The Asteroid colony Anarchists all have individual names. Like they were hand made and placed there for some reason. AFAIK Carcosa is the only one that has had the Anarchy faction put in charge. (Except Hell Port, but that has two Anarchies and I think the wrong one is in charge). Clearly further study and flips are required. Most of them have static economies though. It's been tried and wasnt succesful.

Anarchies in general are interesting. Some hand made systems are permit locked and contain Rare goods or Lore snippets. Even the mission givers have unique tattoos which you can't buy in game.

We can only presume the ships will go away if someone else takes control of Carcosa because the ships weren't there when the Nameless weren't in control. The Nameless are the only native faction to that system and I'm not aware of any of the others doing anything special.
I've experienced similar in LYR space, where alliance and imperial factions are like gold dust. Flipping a station to anarchy unlocked the T10 and the clipper.

Some ships (and their corresponding armour) are restricted for sale [1] to superpower-aligned governments ... and independent anarchies. Why independent anarchies have this property is unclear.

I'm starting to think it's simple. The superpowers restrict the sales of certain ships to their own aligned stations. But Anarchy is lawless, so they don't care about having a Clipper on consignment in their yard even though it's against the "law."

The reasoning is simple, how it actually works is anything but. If you flip a federation station that stocks the corvette to anarchy, there's no guarantee it'll still stock the corvette. You might find that it ends up stocking one of the medium fed ships that it didn't stock before.

Yes, I expect it's something like that. (Of course, the anarchists do care enough about the law to only sell to people with the appropriate Fed and Empire ranks...)

That's probably some shady kickback type deal by the feds/empire to maintain the exclusivity and keep commander's running their errands, buncha crooked, wheeler-dealers the lot of them, why this one time.... wanders off mumbling about graft, and corruption

It has been an absolute pleasure to be part of such a significant change in such a small and insular bubble like Colonia, working no, having fun with my fellow Reapers and our associates The New Order and other interested folk, also those that have come and gone and those that came and stayed, even those who oppose(d) us, especially those brave CL76 pilots who came out in open for some fun and shenanigans. We must do that again sometime.

I am glad our efforts were rewarded the way they were, how fortunate to unlock previously unavailable local content and for the content that was removed to still be available elsewhere locally.

There is much more to see and do out here, we are by no means finished, I am eager to see what comes next.

I'm currently in the process of expanding my alt's fleet, so thanks for all the ships. Corvette when?

Recently I've tried to reprocicate the favour by fighting wars in CZs on The Nameless' side, I think the last one took place in Earth Expeditionary Fleet? Of course this has nothing to do with the fact that I've yet to attain expert combat rank to unlock Petra Olmanova.
