Aahhhhhh ship stuck to the landing pad

So frustrating, just got my clipper yesterday so off I trot to get meta alloys for the engineer at Deciat, spend a good few hours jumping and scanning, land at Farseer Inc, and get stuck to the landing pad. So logged a bug report and was very promptly directed to customer support to have my ship moved to a safe location, great was worried I'd lose all the scan data my meta alloy, bounties that I'm saving to hand in plus the rebuy costs.
And guess what customer service can't locate my account,    , they have my user name email address how difficult can it be? And now I'm suffering withdrawal from not been able to play. I know nobody can help here but just needed to rant.

Double check you have matched both the username and email address character for character. It's easy to mistype by one letter or number without realising until you really look closely. Especially if it contains a capital 'I' (i) or lowercase 'l' (L) or even with some fonts an o (letter) or 0 (number).

Just a snippet from the email they sent me t

"I would be happy to help but I can sadly not locate your account with that email you have provided."
They sent that to the email address they can't locate, I've even send a screen shot of my account settings page, really peed off.

I know this doesn't help you with the ship you lost, but for future reference (unless they fix it), those pads are like being in a planet surface, you have to up thrust to leave, not auto disengage like in a station.

It was the landing, I landed but it didn't detect I'd landed and I became stuck if you like to the ground. So I thought hard reset would help wrong, now when i start I'm greated with the pad violation warning, I've got no thrusters or any sort of controls and I've clocking up fines. So i could just bite the bullet and let them destroy me.

Fair enough, was just a thought.

In response to your last post though, take a recording then go back to Customer Support and they ought to reimburse you. Although how that might work if they can't locate your account through your email otr username I don't know...

Thanks, I'm just going to wait and see what customer services come up with and catch up on some other games

Did you upgrade something ? It happened to me once where I upgraded a component but its power draw exceeded my power plant's capacity. I was literally stuck on the landing pad. Try to check your modules tab. You might have to turn off modules to reactivate thrusters. Sometimes we overlook things when we get excited...

Thanks for taking the time to help, but this was an issue when landing( I've made several successful landings and take offs planetary and station with this set up), some how the ship has become one with the pad when docking, I just can't understand after customer services say they can't locate my account from the supplied email address when they sent an email to the same address, so frustrating, been grinding the empire ranks to get the clipper and now after a few hours I can't play

I got the butt end of my cobra magnetized against the control tower in the middle of a station for a couple seconds. It was very weird, I couldn't get free for a little bit. Finally I put max power to engines and wiggled myself free. Shortly after that was a loud CLAAAAAAAAANG!!!!!!. Followed by "Shields offline!"

Easy way to fix that issue..
Uninstall elite, reinstall without horizons, start your game, you should be above the planet. Reinstall horizons, and robert's your mother's brother.

I'll try, but elite is on my internal drive and horizons is on my external, so I unplugged my external drive and loaded elite expecting it to load me above the planet but no still on the planet stuck to the pad, how I wish the bug were it loaded in space unless you did a hard reset hadn't been fixed

I have had the occasional softlock when trying to disengage from a landfall pad on lift-off.

It's a bit of a bug that does occur very occasionally with me.

In order to avoid a docking infraction I quickly exit to the main menu and then restart; the ship is then left 10kms up in orbit above the landfall base where I was originally "stuck".

I don't know if any of this help you though....

What's your rebuy?

Think it's only around 4 million, but it's the loss of the meta alloys, scans and bounties I'm holding.

Tried and failed, it's now loading me inside the planet, even with horizons deleted, can't work that one out

You need to launch Elite Dangerous 1.6, not Horizons - both should be shown in your list of available products in the launcher - you may nee to scroll down.

Launching the base game will automatically place you in space.

or delete Horizons since you are on xbox.

Then reinstall it when you have started the game and spawned in orbit.
