Have been bouncing back-and-forth between a couple of hi intensity conflict zones in a boom system for a couple of hours now scanning combat ships and not a single ASPA. Any suggestions?

In fact, I found them more in RESs than in combat zones.

At the suggestion of another CMDR, I traded for them. Forgot about the materials trader and I the had goods to trade. o7
Have spent good few hours today at HAZrez and poped only twice for me which was 6 alltogether. Combat zone didn’t give me any at all. This material is an absolute pain to get considering it is grade 4 and grade 5 mats drop more often for me
Same here. As well as just randomly scanning High Wakes when leaving StarPorts. I just checked my inventory and I have 98 of these ASPAs at the moment. I have never made a conscious effort to obtain any of this particular G4 Data.
Just goes to show how over time, everyone will end up with a considerable supply of pretty much everything out there. Provided you take steps to add a few common sense tools to your toolbox. Like always having a Wake Scanner onboard and taking the time to scan any ships you encounter as well as random wakes where possible.
