Ability to salvage engineering materials by scrapping unwanted modules.

I have a few FSDs which are not SCO types, I have no use for them any more as I have bought and engineered SCO types in their place. Rather than just selling them off I think it would be great if we were able to have our unwanted modules scrapped (maybe at an engineer?) with the return of some of the engineering materials that had been used to upgrade them.

The trouble for this popular suggestion is that because FDev have fixed engineering rates and increased module storage it isn't as necessary as it used to be.

It would still be a nice thing to have.

G5 data is still a frustration. Unless you want to kill a stupid numbre of a factions ships, or do wing delivery missions.

Personally I quite enjoy wake scanning. If only there were reasons to do it. And most have forgotten that you can still base scan settlements, which is one of the few fun things you can do in the SRV but again, not much reason to do it. There's also satellite scans around installations, even stop to shoot some pirates once in a while, but again no reason to do it.
