What I really want to know - what is player D doing with Player X????
You really want to know?

Paying to see their bottom. What I really want to know - what is player D doing with Player X????
Why would player B feel any incentive to go to Boram where there is already competition, when he can go outside of the bubble, tell everyone that there is LTD there to be mined, and sell its service at a good price?
Plenty of space out there. Eventually Boram will dry out.
Player C can do the same, offer freighter services to a good spot outside the bubble, and propose its refuel, repair, refill services to.
Plenty of opportunities.
You have and FC and I have an FC.I don't know what a race to the bottom of prices means ...
Tell you what, OP, you can take your carrier out to the edge of the bubble and tell people they can sell their LTDs to you, and then you can run your carrier into debt while while no one visits and everyone continues to mine in Borann selling their LTD to the carrier there that is buying for 1 credit higher than all the other carriers there.
Because that's where players ARE. Being somewhere out there is not useful.
Lot of romanticizing game mechanics going on here.
Question:
- Player A parks their carrier in Borann and sets a buy price for 800k for LTD - with the intent to sell the purchased LTD at a higher price in another system.
- Player B sees this happening, and parks their carrier next door to Player A and purchases LTD for 900k still able to make a profit (but much smaller.)
- Player C sees this happening, and parks their carrier next door to Player A and B and purchases LTD for 1 million. They may or may not make a profit.
This is a race to the bottom. There's no way this won't happen.
i think you don't understand the point. there's obviously multiple carriers offering the same services/commodities. those will battle to the bottom.SUPPLY AND DEMAND!!!!!!!!!!!!! Supply for a service that is in high demand! Simple as that.
Question:
Why would I sell my LTD when I can make 4 jumps and sell my hard earned LTD's for 1.17 mill/ton.
I do agree with OA on price wars
What would happen to the BGS ?
I remember Gas Wars going for 17 cents/gal, those were to good old days
They are there, beacause they dont know better. Find a new pristine LTD ring, advertice it, propose to transport them there at a price. Chances are that a few commanders will take the offer.

Beleive me, I've found plenty, I've even found one that has 5 large hotspots of LTD's on my journey to Colonia, the thing is, its quite far away, luckily carriers can make the jump. They are there because it's a tripple hotspot and that's the only place laser mining 512T of LTD makes a lick of sense to try. Let us know when you find another tripple. Because cr/hr is what they want and they aren't going to come to your pristine ring.
Good explanations, thanks. Cheers for several. o7
I don't think it's necessarily a game breaker though. Prices tending to reduce is not game breaking because then FC's can haul for profit at galactic average but even though you're planning on undercutting me, and would otherwise have traffic, I have a Killer Krait that won't interdict Commanders I have a word with in the hotspot, as long as they agree to trade with my megaship ... ?
