Gibbonici, we appear to be at an impasse. We have a lot of Drabblers who are keen to get on to the next subject, but we can't move on until we have a resolution to this matter.

I think we should settle this like gentlemen. If you agree to this idea then just post a message confirming this: The first person to post after your confirmation gets to say who wins this week's Drabble contest. Anybody apart from us two can decide. They just have to be fastest on the "Submit Reply" button.

I'll let you decide how you want this to continue. We might be lucky enough to have had someone vote away the stalemate in the meantime. You may prefer just to call a draw and share the topic as we normally do. You could agree to my first post shoot-out. Or you could always say you'd rather just wait for a vote for a bit longer.

I don't mind keeping it simple and calling it a draw. To be honest I wasn't expecting to come this close to winning but I seem to have had a surprise surge at the end, so a draw counts as a victory as far as I'm concerned!
