Accentuating the positive

Been moaning about mission bugs etc so to level it:

New stuff I really dig:

  1. Quick take-off's! No more silly arrow in front of you pads.
  2. A CLOCK!!!
  3. Outfitting menu looks great and now makes sense!

Sure there are more I only just noticed I now have a gold Asp (Shellac song) and can take pictures in star-ports.

Definitely some of the best improvements. But the clock reminds me what time it is and that I should be in bed, a potential minus heheh

How bloomin' great are book-marks on the galaxy map too? That's a spot on addition! (I've added the 3 capitals, places to get reductions on ships/outfitting, the best places to rank-up for diff Factions and good places to explore into the core - out to the rim).

Personally I'd like it if the Galaxy map didn't auto reset to economical routes and defaulted back to your previous setting, but hey ho, book-marks are a wonderful addition. How much easier rare trading would've been if they'd been around then...

I'm primarily an explorer / trader and love the new feel of the game:

- Stations address me personally (I love the engineer robotic station voices).

- Factions have faces that I am growing to recognise.

- I fear to go into anarchy space now without due preparation. I check my routes more thoroughly, and there are hard choices to make when outfitting.

- I feel like I have a lot more choices for exploration ships. My jump range threshold has always been >30 and now a lot more ships can achieve that.

- I really, really love my new imperial courier - so much power in those enhanced drives, zooming round asteroid fields is just mind blowing.

Overall, I feel a lot more immersed and I have a lot more things to keep me in the bubble before my next big trip.

I am quite impressed with the radio chatter at stations.
Most recently I was impressed/annoyed by the voice over the radio at Darnielle's Progress in Maia, an American accent, (believe that, an American accent in E: D)
from one of the southern states, Arkansas perhaps. A lady over the radio telling me how "We dunn toylerayte speedin 'round ere" with attitude and all.
I found myself talking back to the screen saying "Shu-up lay-dee bee-foe I dunn unloadin here these dummfiyah missiles into yer bayse"...

+ Radio chatter.
+ Audio in general.
+ AI.
+ Bookmarks!
+ general FPS increase across the board (made me able to use ultra instead of high and not lose any FPS due that)
+ ...plenty of other things.
