Commander, please tell me in more detail what kind of device you play with and what kind of remote control you use, this is the first time I hear that you can play games like ED on the road.
2 Options away from home:
1) Old laptop using WiFi - I have ED on Epic and my old 2015 laptop will not run ED at all (even Legacy 3.8!), so I subscribe to NVidia Geforce Now £8.99/month (to avoid queuing up for a rig) and ED runs on Nvidia's own Virtual Server Farm giving you a high-end GPU and streams the game to your laptop.
HDMI cable from laptop to Hotel TV if you want.
My Laptop wont recognize wireless PS4 DS4 so have to connect DS4 by USB

2) I bought NVidia Shield TV Pro for £179, which just runs cloud gaming/streaming itself, instead of through the laptop!
Shield TV box is small, about 100mm x 150mm x 25mm and so laptop, cables, DS4 controller, mouse and keyboard and this, all fit in any laptop bag.
Hotel WiFi, HDMI cable to Hotel TV (I also take and connect a mouse and keyboard as some ED commands are not mapped to DS4 controller).
Shield TV recognizes wireless Playstation4 DS4 controller
, so this is the setup I use now.
In Hotel I found it does stutter a little, but it depends mostly on the ping, so most hotels now (in UK at least) have decent free WiFi and in some you can even purchase wired Ethernet in the rooms.
I do not work for NVidia either, even though this looks like an advert, but I would highly recommend it at home even, as it is very compact and powerful.
It also has all streaming apps - Netflix, Prime, Apple, etc.
Better than a PC, Table, Chair, Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, Joystick, etc, etc.
I just have Shield TV, mouse and keyboard tucked away next to TV, and play with just PS4 DS4 wireless controller lounging on settee.
