I really hope this hasn't hurt the campaign's development in any way.
That video above should put that notion to rest.
I just watched the story trailer yesterday and I look forward to it. Multiplayer aspect never interested me much.
It looks great. If it has a childrens' mode in it, I don't mind. Will simply ignore it.
The only thing that bugs me is that I'm on PC. Therefore will have to wait till Feb. Boo.![]()
Or... Erm... Go for a proper flight sim, like DCS? If you got a PC... Why wait, when there is already a brilliant option?
Does look kinda fun as "just jump in and fly" type thing though.

That's the problem. In the time needed to get started with DCS I can probably finish the entire campaign in Ace Combat.
It's not really a fair comparison to be honest. Both games are about flying airplanes(in case of DCS helicopters too), but that's where similarities end really.
Yes it takes ages to get into DCS, especially if you have one of the more detailed plane models that are replicated with obsessive attention to details. And people love that. On the other hand, AC is like COD with planes as I've described it before. Which is fine too, because quite frankly on some evenings I wouldn't be bothered to spend 20 minutes on preflight checks![]()
The Ace Combat series has always been Need for Speed in the sky. It doesn't need to to be anything else and it can't be more advanced either considering it's on consoles first and foremost.
