Active volcanism removed in Odyssey?

I'd say the Yellowstone Park should be revealed by a nice yellow/red/whatever color of the heat map. No need to make a POI for it if the heat map works correctly.

Why not have the nav computer mark it?
Back to Eyeball Mk2 navigational aids?
Does anyone even found a Yellowstone Park in EDO?

I mean, i have nothing against heat maps. They could work really well with the old POI system
But why remove the POIs?

Yes, the ship could create dynamic POIs based on heat map levels, that would make the process of finding them much faster (no need to fly around the planet). (y)

Well, I've circumnavigated a small moon and it was mostly barren of everything, but from time to time I passed through an isolated unit or small group of fumaroles or lava sprouts, and traversed two big fields of geological activity.

So I think that so far for what I've seen the geological and biological features are quite right. It's just one may need to visit a good number of planets have real view of how things are from extreme to extreme.

Managed to get 30klm+ high on this one, needless to say I died on landing. That's me, that little spot right beside it.
Did you have your suit shields on when you landed?
I found a nice big geyser last week and I was tempted to step into it but I chickened out, not wanting to test what happens while the servers were still buggy.

I just had a geyser related accident.

I've been safely reconstituted in my ship, but I'm worried about getting my SRV back. I left the lights on.
