You could add a water park dlc in planet coaster or make a new game like planet water! Or add it in planet zoo
What?Unfortunately the engine for Planco is too much of a mess for it to perform well with extensive water rides or pools as the AI would totally crash our CPUs, thats why the devs have moved onto Planet Zoo which sadly is not an expansion or addon but simply a standalone game guess will just have to wait a few more years for Planco2 and then hopefully the engine will be better to support actual expansions instead of the overpriced mini-DLCs
is that why they added weather into Planco and not just patches of rain as scenery objects? They didn't just "Move on" to the next game.

its pretty funny how you went to an old thread just to be angry because you didnt like how I pointed out Sdanwolf and Silvarret have built water parks in another thread
not really, it just has better performance due to stability improvements, but its pretty much the same gamePlanet Zoo is more advanced ... what goes on under the Hood is very different.

It’s not about “stability improvements”. The Cobra engine in Planet Zoo is more advanced with newer technology which has been developed in the two years after the release of Planet Coaster. It is therefore not backwards compatible with the iteration of the Cobra engine that was released with Planet Coaster.
Adding parts of a newer and more advanced engine to a less advanced engine is going to break the less advanced engine in the case of Planet Coaster. In theory it might be possible, but you would have to alter the engine in such a way that it will no doubt break compatibility with existing creations made with Planet Coaster, such as all the parks made by players. Therefore upgrading the Cobra engine of Planet Coaster is out of the question.
The changes in Plazoo are nowhere near the same as the type of changes from Unreal Engine 3 to Unreal Engine 4 or Unity 5Adding parts of a newer and more advanced engine to a less advanced engine is going to break the less advanced engine in the case of Planet Coaster.
UE4 was mostly about reworking the core engine structure so it could support more features that the previous UE3 could. There were a lot of changes under the hood, but there was also some slight graphical improvements. The changes in Plazoo are nowhere near the same as the type of changes from Unreal Engine 3 to Unreal Engine 4
Yes, they might've reused some old artwork/assets from Planet Coaster, but that doesn't mean to say its a simple copy and paste task. Scenery objects in Planet Zoo need to have support for the animals. For example, rocks. You can use rocks to keep animals in their enclosure, or as climbable objects for them. Every scenery object also needs to support the weather system in Planet Zoo. For example, when it snows, it needs to settle on these objects when its cold enough. Or when it rains, the objects should have a wet texture to them. Planet Coaster objects were not made with these types of features in mind, which is one of the reasons why they probably cannot be easily transferred over. There is absolutely no reason why basic scenery objects such as rocks, plants, and walls, cant be simply transferred from one game to the other. I watched a video of Silvarret reviewing every individual scenery piece in Plazoo and even he said many objects are duplicated from Planco
I mean, I can live with Planco1 being forgotten about in a couple years, but I really hope Planco2 is compatible with Plazoo, or at the very least Planco1 DLC. They've had more than enough time to work out the kinks in the engine by now
Where did you hear that PlanCo 2 is in the works?A soaked/water park game would not have enough content to be fun as a standalone game IMO, maybe if they called it Planet Lagoon and it also included hotels, resorts, casinos, stage shows, golf, camping grounds, etc, then maybe it could work as a standalone game, but it really should just be an expansion for Planco2 later down the road. Most water parks are combined with amusement parks, at least where I live
Also, Planco2 is already confirmed to be in the works.
