Adle's Armada Official Statement: Destruction of 'chrono-charidy' criminals in Eravate

I'd love to fight any of you if you guys would have actually showed up in Eravate when I still played Elite. My Expert rating was earned through PvP rather than you guys earning it through killing a ton of NPCs. Small difference yea?

LOL, most of us have gotten to dangerous on PvP alone and we've had wings around Eravate since wings came out. You know what? Come on back and bring a wing, see if you can compete. Until then, you have no leverage here.

But you can only block them that way once they're on your friends list

That, or if you see them in game you can do it from the comms panel menu.
Best way to guarantee it if they are staying put is to hop to solo, SC away a safe distance (~1000 ls) and pop back into open to find them and block them from the comms panel.

they'll probably just high wake, they don't kill enough NPC's to afford the buyback.

lol, im so funny today!

I am personally inviting you to friend request us so that you can instance with us and back up your <talk>.. If not, then you should probably give up this conversation.

Another FD classic ;)

(Just so you know - unless FD changed it - blocking someone doesn't prevent you instancing with them. It blocks all communication [message / VoIP request] and during matchmaking they are put bottom of the potential list .. if there's just you and them in a region of space you're going to see each other)

As it should be. It's essentially an exploit.

That's a pretty cool shot ~0:50 as the FdL pitches past and gets hit by a couple of torpedoes, cannons or whatever they are.

Losing your ship to a bug sucks whatever side you're on. I've had this happen with heisenberg's cargo hatch while mining at least once. Incredibly frustrating.

The way I see it, this is a loss for the game. Every time a commander (or a group of commanders) decides to leave is a loss for this game.

I mean, this are pirates, and pirates tend to be a pain in the neck, but they also make the galaxy a lot more dangerous and, isn't this game supposed to be exactly that?

I couldn't care any less about them leaving. They are no pirates, they are seal clubbers. I'd have a thing or two to say about what I think of them, but we want to keep the thread clean.

What AA does in the newbie system is indeed admirable, I mean no disrespect to them on that at all, I've also been in the newbie system with Big Pappa of the Paladin Consortium, an allied group of the Light Horse Brigade(our mentors in the maze of being a player group in Elite, much thanks to him personally and the rest of PC, great folks), doing exactly what AA does, protecting the new players and giving them help with advice and some cargo so they can buy better toys for their ships, it's fun and it's great to see multiple groups doing that in this game.

This whole charity thing though and the being bandied about by BOTH sides now, is just silly and I personally think it's beneath AA, you guys should drop it and let it go, you are the better men(and women) in this situation, you don't need to make a PR stink, it's counterproductive.

While it is counterproductive, we honestly didn't even need to do a charity anyways. In all actuality even if we didn't see their "charity event" being announced, we would have STILL killed them in Eravate for killing new players. The charity was just a way to make sure that something was given out, since they would be spending their livestream dying to us instead of giving to charity. In all we've raised 223GBP and that was just an extra to what we would have done for free.

That's kind of my point Silk, you guys would have done it anyway, you do it all the time, and the charity bit was great, but the stuff going on in this thread and others, it's not becoming, be the better men, let it go.

Just like pro/anti gamergate and their "giving" to charity. Oh yes, I went there.

There are no righteous sides in this debacle, only heads to be placed firmly within the palms of hands.

It used to be fun fighting really, back in the day you just fought and it was like "wow that was so fun great fights all around". But now it's just getting like a debate over who wins, and i think that's the reason less and less pvp'ers are starting to log on every day, including me, i'd be more than happy to fight you guys again in the future, but when it gets turned into "look at us kicking toxic players out of eravate" then posting it on the forums to instigate a circlejerk against SDC, it just isn't fun anymore.

I initially started PvP'ing cause it was really fun and enjoyable, but after a while this is what it slowly devolved into. I think if we all came back with a "fun" attitude rather than making it all about winning, then a lot more PvP'ers would start coming back to the game.

Cause in reality, winning in this game means nothing, it's exactly that, a game. None of these successes or failures will come to anything in the real world and a game is made purely for ones entertainment, and the one thing thats not entertaining is trying to prove who is better while passively aggressively talking down about each other. That's what children do, and we are not children.

I wouldn't have thought that killing brand new players was a way to entice people into the game personally. I remember when I started this game like 600 play hours ago I was ganked within the first 20 minutes of playing, where I went to solo for the next 200 hours because I had no idea about the whole open vs solo debate. I just saw Solo as the grind and Open when you're ready for PvP.

Only since then I went back to open, but just my view from a once-new player. Then again playing from New Zealand I never see anyone in open anyway due to instancing.

Yes it is all in game, but when you guys are coming into our system that we play in almost exclusively to get a rise out of us (you knew this would annoy us), of course we are going to be annoyed. We aren't there to fight groups of people that are there to waste our time, we are there to kill off players that are looking to make the game unplayable for people who don't know how to play the game. If you would kindly leave us the he alone and take your salt elsewhere, you wouldn't ever hear from us. Eravate IS NOT the new Lave. Take the terrorism to the CGs or the PP HQs. I mean that in the most sincerest way possible.
