The unshielded cutter seems to be the key.Yes
But, truth be told, it was a combination of ADC and unsupervised shieldless Cutter (i auto launched, then alt-tabbed out) - so a bit out of the usage envelope, since one is not supposed to leave the ship unattended.
I guess you're joking?Add shields to it, the ADC works perfectly, both on takeoff and on landing.
Noo, they're engineered, G5 dirty/drag.I guess you're joking?(Or you haven't engineered the thrusters...)
No such luck for me. My C6 Prismatics are called into action regularly if I’ve got an ADC fitted. I only tend to use one when I’m loading/unloading between a station and my fleet carrier, for ease, but I’d agree with @LordJim47 - Odyssey seems to make it act up with greater regularity than Horizons did.The unshielded cutter seems to be the key.
Add shields to it, the ADC works perfectly, both on takeoff and on landing. Get greedy by wanting to do 792T at a time, then the ADC will occasionally side thrust you into the station while "waiting in queue" or just decide to miss the slot all together and boop you (repeatedly) underneath it.
Yup, I've made that mistake a few times including just last week. Zeroed the throttle a teensy bit too early... Luckily my shields took most of the damage.Never let the docking computer engage close to the outside of the slot. It will boost to try and get on the right trajectory normally straight into the structure.
