General / Off-Topic Advice on next game

Hi guys,

After having put a total of 8 weeks of playing time in I am at a point that I am kind of bored with Elite and playing less and less.
I am not complaining I think I got my money out of it however the slow development and the route they are taking is putting me off.
Also the griefing is getting really irritating .
Now as there are probably more people here with a similar interest in games I would like to ask some advice.
What is a good game on xbox to get started in when finished with Elite.

Recently I've been playing world of tanks quite a bit however with 2.4 due very soon i doubt ill be playing tanks much longer.

If you haven't already, try Final Fantasy 15. It is amazing. Deus Ex is also a good bet. Proper story-driven FPS, with no multiplayer rubbish.

Xcom 2 is one of the games I play when not playing ED. It's a good turn based strategy with a lot of extras.
The new map in Ark looks promising too, I got killed only six times in the first two days, a nice challenge.

Minecraft is always relaxing. If you're looking for something more storyline-driven, Mass Effect: Andromeda was pretty good, despite the bad rap it got.

I generally rotate between Elite, SMITE, and Rocket League. Forza sometimes, and Minecraft when I'm just chillin'.

When it comes to staying interested in Elite, the one thing that has worked for me is: gitting gud

I used to mine, trade, and explore. That got old fast. PVE combat was great, too, until it got to the point where NPCs were no longer a challenge. That's when I took a dive headfirst into PVP.

Most fun I've ever had with the game.

I get you I've done it all to.
Did do pve combat for most of the time recently.
But you know what gets me the punishment is so harsh .
I recently pushed it a little to far in a haz res lost my cutter rebuy 15 Mil bonds 1.5 Mil your like there goes the cg money.
I know it's my own fault but it's the constant disappointment and very little reward in the game gets to me.
Also the development is slow 2.4 was supposed to drop in fdec 2016.
And in a game where you are the ship where are the ships? There should be far more choice to play with.
If your not doing space legs or atmosphere planets do more ships.
But thanks for the tip.

Have you ever played Trials? You don't play it for the bike. You play it for the physics.

I have actually played it once .
Very nicely made but not my kind of game .
I mostly go for a more emergent gameplay kind of game.
He'll I'd play euro truck simulator if it was on xbox haha.

I know what you mean, more ships with specific abilities would be a lot more fun, most ships available right now can be more or less be used for everything in the game, that makes the choice of ships a bit meager.
There are 30+ ships in the game but their abilities are to close to one another to make it sufficient in choice of specialty.

I wish there were more simulation games on the Xbox, I used to play a lot of flightsims too in the past when I was still a pc gamer.
Silent Hunter Wolfes of the Pacific, a submarine sim, was one of my favourites too.

GTA 5 can be fun too at times though.

Actually, if Euro Truck or American Truck ever comes to console, buy it.

It is AMAZING. Seriously, one of the best games I've ever played. Works really well with a controller too.

I honestly don't get the interest in the truck games is it not just driving down the motorway dropping stuff off?
My vote goes for the witcher 3 the best game this gen for me.

That is exactly what Euro Truck is. Driving a truck and dropping off a trailer. That's the entire game.

Might not seem like much... But it is certainly an experience.
