Not that credits have any meaning anyway, but Frontier should implement many more features against AFK gameplay than they already did. It is borderline cheating, and I will never understand the length people go to to NOT play the game.
For years, players have been saying NPCs need a buff in combat and AFK bounty hunting is evidence.
I'm not saying to lift the floor on that for everyone, but at at higher combat ranks an occasional pirate wing arriving in a decently specced (but beatable/ escapable if you're aware of what's around you) set of ships is all that's needed. Just needs those to pay out extra in mat drops for that whole risk/reward balance.
I am not too familiar with AFK farming; but doesn't that already happen after a couple of hours? I want to say I "heard" that somewhere.at higher combat ranks an occasional pirate wing arriving in a decently specced (but beatable/ escapable if you're aware of what's around you) set of ships is all that's needed
I do that kind of 'the game' activity while I'm sleeping. It takes 6-7 hours never day time. There are prons only: obtainment high grade materials and credit as mission rewards . I don't let the the game to live its own way as long as I can play. Not that credits have any meaning anyway, but Frontier should implement many more features against AFK gameplay than they already did. Its not exactly playing the game though is it?It can't be depicted as cheating

It needs to emphasize the special circumstance as AFK is not a type of official prohobitted activity. It can't be depicted as cheating.
What's wrong with my point of view?
Disagree. Absolutely. In order to fullfil AFK session I need to recon suitable system, stock massacre missions. I have got goals (earn credits, I want to acquire ~ 100 bil, take mats) and tools (the game). I suppose it's the play process. Its not exactly playing the game though is it?
So half hours work for 7 hours letting your afk boat 'earn' credits? yeah ok, at least you will have to earn and work for those materials.Disagree. Absolutely. What is AFK credit farming? Can anyone give an explanation about the coherence between a system security level and a number of earning credits? I mean AFK credit farming.
Yes, certainly. One thing must be siad: don't hurt others while doing something.First of all, not everything that isn't prohibitted is automatically a good thing.
Yes, I would like to accept your opinion if only it defined a strong separation. There is no grey area. Also, this is why I said it was "borderline cheating". It is certainly in a grey area. And it certainly is exploiting game mechanics for personal gains. It can be seen as gaining a competitive advantage, if you are into those sorts of things.
I don't like to hold computer on all day long as well. Though I don't think dinosauras exist). I consider people may stay people as they prefer. Zoomers/boomers ... they look like all people around and years ago. Also maybe I'm a dinosaur, but I turn my computer off when I sleep. Energy consumption, climate change and impending doom and all that.
The holes for AFK should be plugged. If not present already, Frontier should make sure strong enough pirates spawn and destroy AFK boats. It should be shunned by the community, and players utilizing AFK should be named, shamed, ridiculed, called Shirley and be forced to watch televangelists for at least eight hours at a time.
It's just a very silly concept. Play a game by not playing a game. This must be a Millenial-Zoomer thing I just don't understand. Like "lol" and calling strangers "bro".
You build a tanky, unkillable boat like a T-10 or Cutter with a gazzillion MJ of shields, a load of turrets and a single unit of cargo inside and park it in a RES site to attract and subsequently farm pirates for their bounties and possibly their materials (exactly how you launch your collectors is not clear to me). Combine it with a bunch of stacked massacre missions and then go to sleep while the game is generating income for you. What is AFK credit farming?
Yes, my nick is the same. I've been destroyed many times in open.is your CMDR name the same as your forum account? Asking for a friend. Oh shoot, you probably hide your AFK boat in solo (oh no, I said it!).
(This is the one edge case I approve the phrase "Hiding in Solo"!)
How would one do that. You'd need to engineer for that. And once you're done with that tedious process I doubt you'd need credits anymore.
