Africa Extension DLC

If we get a leopard, I'd prefer the Amur leopard. African leopards aren't that common in zoos, and aren't that endangered either.

Personally I'd also rather avoid another crocodile. We already have the saltwater crocodile and the gharial. If we ever get another crocodilian, I think the American alligator is the only one we still need to complete the 'zoo collection'.

Definitely want an African rhinoceros and meerkat, though. Both staples, both really ought to have been in the base game.

I personally feel like the black or white rhino should be a free dlc gift. The other one can be included in a dlc.
Just because its such an iconic zoo animal.

ps not demanding the free dlc. But I think it would be a nice reward for players.

Nice suggestions. Personally I would change the leopard and crocodile as they are too similar to saltwater crocodille and jaguar for something like secretary bird, generuk maybe even fossa if we would count Madagascar in.

But white/black rhino, meerkat and honey badger would be excellent.

I can't see White Rhinos being added because there extinct 😢😢, but black Rhinos I can see being added.

Not true. There are 2 subspecies of White Rhino. The Northern variant, there are only 2 left, the Southern subspecie still has around 15.000.

That being said, I wouldn't mind a white rhino in the game.

Meerkats!!!!!
African Leopards
Jackal (any species)
Honey Badger
Crested Porcupine
Masai Giraffe
Black/White Rhino (I'm okay with just one of the two)
a second species of Lion (if they gave us the Asiatic lion instead of a second from African I'd be okay with that)

I think that would pretty much cover me for additional African wants. I'd also love a second African theme for the facilities.

I really want meerkats in the game but outside of them I'm all set with any more African animals for the near future. They already dominate the game so I'd rather have something that gives us more variety.

Considering 6 habitat and 1 vivivarium animals:
1.White Rhino
2.Black Rhino
3.Honey Badger
4.Secretary Bird
5.Meerkat
6.Olive Baboon

1.Gaboon Viper

I want both african rhinos, since they differ much from one another, id preffer those instead of another lion or crocodile(american alligator or caiman would be fine though)

Bengal tigers aren’t common in zoos either, neither are black wildebeest, it’s usually blue wildebeest, neither are Bactrian camels, it’s usually dromedary... the list goes on...

Personally I really want the African leopard, As part of Africa’s big 5. Im not saying we can’t have Amur leopard too, after all we have 2 subspecies of tiger and 2 Subspecies of wolves... the more the merrier :D

Id honestly be disappointed if we didn’t eventually get the African leopard... I have a part in my zoo, where it basically showcases the “big five” of Africa... and the leopard is missing xD

Technically speaking we only have one subspecies of tiger - the Bengal and Siberian are both part of the same subspecies, but are distinct subpopulations within the subspecies. Or so modern taxonomy thinks. The wolves are also a taxonomical mess - the "timber wolf" is actually just a generic grey wolf (Canis lupus) which covers all the wolf subspecies, including the Arctic. To be really nitpicky, we actually have the Arctic wolf in the game twice.

In any case, I wouldn't object to the African leopard in principle, I'm saying I'd prefer the Amur leopard if it came down to a choice between the two. There are others who want the Persian leopard as well.

Personally agree with the preference for Amur Leopard but the Big 5 argument is a good one.
I'd be happy if Frontier will go for completing the Big 5 of Africa, before any other species.

I also would be happy if they completed the Shy 5.

Not in Europe where Bactrian camels are the 30th most common animal and dromedaries aren’t even in the top 100 most held species in captivity.
I think I've never seen a Dromedary in a Zoo, so I agree that it seems like Bactrian Camels are more common in Zoos (at least in Germany)
