After all this time the pilot avatar is still way too small

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Graphics\Settings.xml

<IPDAmount>0.068000</IPDAmount>

I have 68 mm IPD.

I have read on here before that this setting is no longer used. Elite uses the setting in the Oculus Config.

you can manually set your ipd in the graphics settings file in your appdata folder.

Correct that it is no longer used, editing the IPD in config has zero effect since beta. But ed also Does not use the oculus IPD config either. There is currently no possible way to adjust IPD in elite as confirmed by support in my thread. Worth a read for clarification.

Aha, well it was long ago I input that value there. I haven't thought about it for a while.

If the Oculus Config AND the Settings.xml has NO effect what so ever on the IPD in game there is one more thing to try:

If you're running Oculus Runtime SDK 0.6.0.1 it's possible to move the left and right pictures (not the virtual cameras IPD) apart or together a bit maybe by adding a little tweak in this file:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Oculus\NetServer.cfg

"DK2LensSeparationOverride": 0.068000,

That is for when the lenses can be physically moved apart or together to match. I have modded my rift to be able to move the lenses a few mm apart so that it fits my IPD and also tweaked this value as you can see above. I have perfect scale now and a wider sweet spot.

Anyway, what you could try (to simulate changing IPD) is testing changing this value. I think 0.065000 is the default. You have to add the line above to NetServer.cfg since it's not there from the start if I recall correctly.
