After Elite - Elite 1st Dan...2nd Dan... ??

I've been asking for ages if we could have this and never get a response. The Elite rank is too easy to obtain and should be something monumental, especially as this game has a 10 year plan. If we could get it I think my explorer rank would be on 3rd Dan by now :D

I like that idea nutter. Although the the 'Dan' thingy sounds wrong to me. Think maybe perhaps something a bit more classic like elite bronze, elite silver, elite gold.
Its nice and simple and easy to colour coordinate on the panel too.
Potato !

Haha, yes please forget Dan! Colours could work, or Roman Numerals would allow for infinite rank overs

Hi,

Been Elite for nearly a year now, still love exploring but can't help think that all that experience could be shown along with my rank.
So I wonder what your thoughts are on a system similar to Dan - as in Karate Black belt for example

Elite 1st Dan
Elite 2nd Dan
Elite 3rd Dan
and so on...

The Decal could have a number or just a number of lines at the bottom - III = 3rd Dan

What are your thoughts?

Are FD already considering a system?

Nutter

I agree with the gist of your proposal.
I would like a system of endless ranking.
In fact I proposed it on this very forum in the early days.
It is very sad that nothing happens anymore when you reach Elite.
Eventually Elite becomes meaningless, because everybody will be Elite one day except for the NPC's.

I do not like the 1st Dan, 2nd Dan etc.
I propose a more simple numerical system.
Something like this perhaps:

Elite1 (= Elite + 1000 kills)

Elite10 (= Elite + 10.000 kills)

Elite156 (= Elite + 156.000 kills)

Aye good ideas I think theres been threads on this before.
I thought adding Roman numerals each time you manage to re-do Elite ranking e.g. I II III IV V...so on

That sounds like a good idea too.
