There was quite a lot of weight on the servers because the update was late and didn't launch till 6.30pm, just before peak time. So. they moved a lot of stuff out.
Sally alludes to it on page 10, #197 of the live update thread in N&B.

This is so Unique. Players could never replicate such conditions.
Wish it was pratical to keep it like this.

So much could be done.
There is probably enough fleet carriers to hold each commodity and make a system where you can find 20t of anything to by or sell.
Or any other wacky ideas

Before the update, I was docked on someone's carrier, and after the update I was moved to Shui Wei C1-18 and couldn't load the game at all because of the CTDs.
I clicked on this new "stuck recovery" option and it helped. I've been transferred to a nearby system.
