Yes, that first panel, the "Local" station is annoying. You tab on to it and it automatically sets you to typing. I wish they would change that. Unless they have an option to not set it to auto typing and I'm ignorant of it?

I think the thing is if you use 'Quick Comms' keybind you go straight to the text box, but if you use the 'Comms Panel' keybind maybe you don't have to escape out. Don't know tbh.

There is an option in controls/mode switches/auto focus on text input field. With this switched of you return to last open tab.

I don't remember what update it was but the landing pad hologram only had 1 LOD prior to the update. This means if the landing pad dropped its level of detail the hologram would disappear.
I always had trouble find the landing pad until that update came out. I found out the next day the landing pad could be found by compass alone.

Urg, I remember those days of vanishing landing holos. Pretty sure that's the era when I learned about pad-compassing too. Seemed easier than memorizing the bay numbering diagram.
