Agh! The cost of having two cmdrs!

A while back I thought why not buy a second Cmdr account?
The idea was I could pursue different goals or use 2nd account to try things out.
So far, so good. OK you can only fly one at a time (ask any m/cycle owner about the two bike in garage dilemma).
But my problem is if I want a new game extra such a seasonal bobble head, I have to buy it twice. Grrrrh!

I have a second account. I bought it when the price of ED was reduced for a sale. Later when Horizons was in a sale I upgraded that account. I also wait for game extras to be reduced to get them for that account. Yes you do have to pay twice, but if your not in a hurry you don't have to spend much.

Having said all that though, I still think FD should have multiple commander slots on one account.

Welcome. There are players with more than two accounts, and they are even more challenged.

The only reason I have a second account is for long-term exploration. Others have separate accounts that are combat only, politely put.

Frontier welcomes you! You have now paid for another commander slot, and expects to see you again in the Frontier Store.

Cant be messing with files and multiple email adresses just to have another character that could be done via a micro transaction and a CMDR loggin selection button.

Its about time FDEV pulled their fingers out on this one.

I take it that you are a motorcycle owner, and so I'll have to ask you what the dilemma is. I have owned 2 bikes in the past and I've found I favoured the one bike over the other, and so I no longer keep a collection of 'bikes like I've seen others do.

I only have the one Elite account, and that does me fine. I could imagine one account sitting rusting in a corner if I were to have two.

We do still have the problem the OP mentions. In fact, I can't even share my Frontier Points between the two CMDRs, despite both being linked to the same account. You'd think I could start with 1000 points, spend 300 on paint for one CMDR, 300 on paint for the other, and have 400 left over. Nope, doesn't work that way.

Because of this, I actually spend LESS at the Frontier Store, because I'm not buying any separate points for my 2nd CMDR (which is complicated due to the way Playstation Store works). More $ in my pocket, less in Frontier's

I think they should just allow us to buy CMDR slots. We could also use our own CMDRs as crew.

A second commander slot would be great, i really would like to play a new game w/o having to delete my save (maybe use one account for colonia or exploring). On xbox one i am unsure how to do this, maybe a guest account would work? But i really dislike the whole idea of a extra pip.

This is what Kids are for. I bought ED for my son and it's like having a spare ship with me in game that does what I tell it by voice attack, but slightly less reliably than voice attack and occasionally prone to telling me to go away.

Its why my alt has zero cosmetics. I honestly feel it is pretty shameful we are supposed to pay for an alt, and paying for cosmetics per 'savegame' is something not even EA would have thought of. Pretty lame if you ask me.

Set up another account on your 'Home' XBone and register it with Frontier - login with this secondary account on your 'Home' XBone start game, go to another XBone and login with your Gold Account start game.....Play with two accounts.

+1 Just picked up a CMDR's Pack for my Oldest Son, it being On Sale was a Bonus...
His ED Birth Day will be Christmas Day...

Yep with you.
Yes I am a motorcyclist hence analogy. But having the second can come in handy.
Same with two accounts.
It is however not without additional costs on both situations!
Oh well, guess I have to suck it up!

I would love to have a 2nd CMDR for deep space exploration. If Frontier ever sold me a CMDR slot for $5/$10 and let me share my in-game purchases with the CMDR's on my account I would purchase such a slot with extreme haste and excitement. This seems like a no-brainer to me?
