Ai Anaconda Epidemic

so i been playing for about 2 weeks know while grinding my way to a federal corvette and I have noticed one thing, no matter the mission I do or the ship i fly i seem to be only getting interdicted by deadly level AI anacondas. the interdictions happen anytime there is a chance for hostal ships to attack and it happens durring any kind of mission. (cargo/ data) im wondering if this is because of my entrapanuer trading rank or simply a annoying bug. would love to grind more cargo in a T-9 or any other ship but when every jump into a new system spawns the exact same deadly level anaconda it gets annoying.

my entrapanuer trading rank
Yes, both directly and indirectly.

Indirectly: Mission opposition is related to the difficulty level of the mission, and at that rank you can take on the highest level missions (and, if you're going for maximum money, presumably are taking them preferentially) so you mostly see high-ranked Anacondas. If you take the lower-paid missions instead it'll be things like Master-level Pythons, Competent-level Vultures, etc. ... but less pay.

Directly: If you have cargo in your hold (mission or otherwise) you can get pirates specifically after that. Their rank is based (with some variation) on the higher of your trade and combat rank, and their ship type is based (loosely) on yours as well.

So long as you know how to avoid interdictions they're more a nuisance than an actual threat, though. (Or if you're running data missions rather than cargo, do them in a fully-armed combat ship, and get some bonus pay by killing them all)

The problem with data missions is they pay so miserably you'd almost certainly get more of a payout from killing a single pirate than from the entire mission.

I took on two fetch & carry missions yesterday - one gave 9 attackers, the other 8. I decided to do them in the 'vette - the kill bonuses and mats came in handy, though I failed a time bonus ;)

Missions have levels too. If you are Entrepreneur level, but you take an Elite ranked mission you can be chased by dangerous and above pirates based on your Trade rank which isn't low, and dangerous and above pirates based on the mission rank you took on. At the same time. You should expect to face that kind of opposition as a norm.

Take care in stacking many small missions at once. Each mission can spawn opposition independently, in addition to how random pirates react to you and your cargo.
