Powerplay AI with anger issues

The thing is, if I leave now AD is going to send her stupid PP guys after me. So no nice way to avoid this whole nonsense.

No you can leave without repercussions.
There are two options: leaving or defecting.
Defecting is the one where the power becomes vindictive and sends bad guys after you.
I just left my Power. No problems. I just can't join another power for a certain amount of time.

Alright update, left PP yesterday and it's a night and day difference. I can actually do stuff now. before that they would even ambush me in empty USS's.
So no prismatics for me until powerplay has more to offer than just canned pain.

*Sees a bunch of people saying it's normal for ALLIED POWERS to shoot you*

You... you guys know what allied means right? Like, you are on the same side? That's like saying it's normal for US and British troops to be stabbing each other in the bunks during WWII. It makes no sense, and you saying it does makes you look like a troll. Which I mean is probably the case honestly.

Clearly the PP NPC's AI is not working correctly. It's part of a bunch of bugs that are plaguing the AI this update, and I'm sure it will be addressed once FDev have figured out why it is happening.

It is pretty dire at the moment. No matter where you go, be it a RES, Nav beacon, even around stations (that never ends well), there they are, spouting nonsense and shooting away at me.

I've parked up my combat ships until this gets fixed (Soonᵀᴹ).

Not holding my breath, mind you.

To anyone saying that he shouldnt be pledged, please... use your head, 4 ships spawning at you just being somewhere (anywhere) is insane, especially if you are using snail-like ship like anaconda.

There's a nice video in the diuscussion subforum showing an Imp PPer being interdicted and killed by an ALD clipper in a low res site, looks remarkably like a bug is making the Imp faction NPCs hostile to Imp Cmdrs. Let's hope the same doesn't happen in our wonderfully cosey Hudson/Winters cabal!

As soon as I am in a RES or a Nav beacon, next to a station or wherever, 3-5 powerplay NPC's of all factions spawn (even empire aligned, ALD and Space granny) and shoot me.

I can confirm this! I'm happy to see someone else noticed this as well. I'm currently pledged to Felicia Winters and I have this exact same problem. Hudson's Federal Agents are attacking me on sight. If I return fire I get accused for treachery and lose 30 merits, lol. I'm not gonna lie how ludicrous the situation escalates in only a matter of seconds if I get wanted status with Authority ships near me... [big grin]

This is definitely not normal NPC behavior. Both Zachary Hudson and Felicia Winters are competitive, sure, but they still both stand for Federation. Empire is the same thing. My friend is pledged to Aisling Duval, and Lavigny Duval's Wings of Justice and Torval's Shield is attacking him on sight as well. I think we got a case here. I wonder if FD is aware of this issue?

See the bug reports subforum, the situation is exactly the same for Fed powers (you'll be attacked by your allies, on sight)

Perfect! Thanks for this info! I also have left my faction due PP NPCs hating me cos my faction is way cooler than theirs. I shouted at them to "git gud brah!" but that made them extra angry and they launched missiles at me as I tried to run crying like a little girl...

After 1.3, i signed up for a week or so. It was ok. Powerplay enemies were around, but generally they were not so aggressive and largely i got to choose my targets with only occasional interdictions.

When i signed up for PP after 2.1, it was a pure nightmare. Constant attacks and interdictions by high ranked NPCs no matter where i was or what i was doing. I had to quit, i couldn't get anything done. Even dropping out of SC and i would have a PP enemy on me in seconds.

I have no idea how you guys who are still playing powerplay are doing it. It would be driving me nuts.

I feel you, I tried it now with the latest update (at least no oneshots, yay!) and the NPC's are still really salty. Mad props to everyone that deals with this, I can't possibly see any reason to endure this madness.

Powerplay wars between NPC now even erupt in RES sites.
It is fun to observe if you do not belong to a Power (I left Lavigney Duval not so long ago), but when you are pledged it might be a nightmare to go into RES at the moment.
I was in a RES today and there were at least 10 ships of 4 Powers fighting it out among each other.
In general killing them yourself is pointless as most have very low bounties on them, if any at all.

A Wehrmacht soldier is on hawai on a holiday and he meets a soviet soldier who's also on a holiday there.
The german is enjoying is vacation, is chilling with ladies and drinking pineapple juice. The soviet soldier spots the presence of a german guy and immidiatelly runs up to him, kicking him and stabbing him with a shard of broken bottle glass and murdering him.

That's simply ridiculous. And that's what is happening in PP right now.
I'm all fine with PP ships spawning in RES and NAV, because it's a refreshing change to not have to play the crappy interdiction minigame, but WHY are they so agressive?
I was landing on a station recently in Hudson space, and a Winters eagle was inside the letterbox shooting me while I was going down on the landing pad! WHY.
