Air Conditioning Megapack

The ultimate collection for everything air conditioning / ventilation for planet zoo is in the works! The AC megapack is a collection of many blueprints full of every kind of realistic AC units, pipes, rooftop accessories and more. To start things off, the base pack is uploaded to the workshop with 93 items included. Just under the 4000 piece blueprint limit, this pack contains:
  • 32 varieties of AC units from the small base game AC in realistic mounts to medium sized rooftop units that are suitable for a vast range of buildings such as animal shelters, zoo entrances, gift shops, indoor animal houses, cafes and more.
  • Cables for connections using the conservation gutter pipes
  • Small square and round ventilation pipes
  • Large square and round ventilation pipes
  • Easy to read signage and information on the base pack

Vents & Fans Pack

The second blueprint, the vents & fans pack, covers all the small vents and wall fans that buildings often have. Often small buildings will only have a vent on the roof with a small AC unit on the wall or large buildings will have a combination of both AC units and a complex ventilation system with large amounts of vents on the roof. The choice of vents is very important as their is so many different kinds depending on area and type of building so this pack with its 95 item range will help that choice. The vents & fans pack contains:
  • Choice of 95 different rooftop vents and wall fans
  • 8 different options for small and large wall fans, often for a more industrial building than a zoo building
  • 87 vent options
  • Vent options range from vent pipes, turbine/whirlybird vents, gooseneck vents, hooded vents, angled vents and more

Cooling Towers Pack

The largest of all ventilation systems that are suitable for zoos are cooling towers. These are large towers, often 4 - 8 metres tall, used for heat removal from water, ventilation and as an extension to large HVAC (AC units) systems. The cooling towers obviously don't function ingame as they use the european fan pieces to make the large fans on the top of these towers, the small versions however do function as they are small enough to have the coolers ingame. For use ingame, they can be found attached or nearby large aquatic habitats, aquariums, large guest buildings such as tropical houses and even on rooftops of very large buildings.

Air Handlers Pack

Air handlers are a dedicated air conditioning and air circulation unit often connected to a larger system of air conditioning units such as cooling towers, chillers and interior ventilation systems. All of these will become available eventually as the only major connecting blueprint currently is the cooling towers. Air handlers in a zoo setting are placed on rooftops of large buildings such as animal shelters, cafes, indoor animal buildings and similar settings that require a need for large scale air circulation. The handlers do come in a variety of sizes from standalone small air handlers suitable for small buildings and shelters, to the largest industrial sized air handlers suitable for large elephant houses, or the biggest indoor walkthrough buildings.

Chillers Pack

Another dedicated units pack is the chillers pack, chillers as the name suggests are dedicated cooling units used in a similar way as cooling towers but their use is not limited to high demand cooling tasks. While cooling towers are only used in heavy applications like large indoor aquatic habitats, chillers when used in combination with air handlers, can be used in almost all cooling tasks for small and large buildings. Chillers are essentially the gap between all in one AC units (called packaged units) and cooling towers. Chillers can be found either on the ground or rooftops connected to pretty much most buildings requiring a good level of cooling demand from mid size animal shelters to large walkthrough tropical houses.

Rooftop Units Pack

Rooftop units also known as packaged units are the standard AC units that are found on rooftops, the base pack of the megapack addressed many of these units in the smaller sizes suitable for small buildings but large buildings wanting an all-in-one package need bigger versions of these units. This is where the rooftop units pack comes in, this pack adds in the extended medium box units, long 4 and 6 fan units and even a variety of angled units and smaller square units. While only half of the ac units found in the base pack, this pack contains the most of the seperate blueprints at 16 different units.

This also marks the completion of all exterior items and blueprints of the megapack, we are sitting at 6 blueprints covering 86 AC units in total which is an impressive improvement of the previous largest air conditioning pack of 2 ac units. There will be one more blueprint covering everything interior related to air conditioning which will be a mix of both the base pack and vents pack in overall style. Vents, pipes and connectors will likely build up the final addition of the megapack.

Those wondering what's happening with my truck builds, all of those will be moved into an even larger megapack, a general exterior themed backstage megapack covering everything else that isn't air conditioning will be featured in that one. When I say everything else, it really is everything else - a general plan of blueprints is sitting at 14 blueprints currently with vehicles, water filtration, electrical equipment, clutter and more will be featured. More on this later in the month.

These will definitely come in handy for my new project. Thank you so much Cal! This is some serious dedication, and honestly I've never even heard of half of these kinds of units, but now I want them all!

Interior Pack

The largest of all the megapack blueprints is the interior pack much sooner than I planned, I honestly thought this would be done on friday not in one day 😂 The interior pack as we can imagine adds in all the interior related air conditioning and ventilation pieces to pair with external systems. Lots of ventilation ducts, indoor fans, ac units and a wide selection of wall / ceiling vents brings the piece total of this to 104 pieces! beating the exterior vents pack which was 95. Duplicating tons of shapes of vents definitely added to a larger total.

In this pack there is:
  • 47 variations of ventilation ducts and brackets to hold these ducts
  • 33 wall and ceiling vents
  • 20 indoor standing and ceiling fans
  • 4 indoor ac units which can be placed on walls

As mentioned yesterday, that's the AC megapack complete! A fun 2 week project has resulted in the largest and most realistic air conditioning blueprints to be released on the steam workshop. In total 346 items spread over 7 blueprints. Now I can't complain the workshop doesn't have enough variety for rooftop decorations.

Lovely work! I've already used a few of them and with more content I will probable also use more of it. Especially those indoor units will be a nice add-on on top of what you already made.
