Aisling expansion confusion

Maybe I'm missing something totally obvious here, but I just pledged to Aisling and thought I'd go do an expansion mission. So I looked at the expansion tab and read the How to Expand, which says:
"Collect Aisling Sealed Contracts from systems Aisling is expanding into and deliver them to contacts in Aisling's controlled systems to support her expansion plans."
Ok, so I interpret that as "go to one of the systems in the list on the left of the screen (i.e. the expansion attempt systems), get something and bring it back." So I fly all the way out to Aurawala and when I land it says "You don't have any contracts to deliver.", and that I need to collect contracts from systems Aisling's expanding into and deliver them here. But isn't she expanding into this one?? What is going on?

You take the the contract from a controlled system to the target system... I think.

I'd defend Kalana instead (Bring Programme from Cubeo to Kalana), she's losing control of it.

ok thats nice to see some people are trying to do things collectively, but most of the "missions" i dont understand what to do. one for exsample said something about stealing something, how do i steal something? is it just in the station under contacs or do i kill them and they drop it, or something else entirely? Just like the exspansion it says to get the contracts from systems she expanding in to and bring them here, but every system i check that she is expanding in to says i dont have wwhatever thing and wont give me anything. ? I'm seriously just about done with power play its either bugged or really half or both.

You have it backward. If they really write it like that than they have to correct it.

Just a small note to people who like to be individual with font colours. I don't like the dark theme, I use the light one. The OP is just an empty white box to me. If I was on my desktop/laptop I might highlight the text or whatever, but it's a pain in the backside on a tablet/phone so I don't bother. Your posts will go unread. You really should have learned by now not to believe in anything FD tells you. They say the one thing and implement another thing.
I saw in Hanakos guide that the FD description for the Expansion is in fact backward. However that description is wrong. It works the way I posted above.

The steal thing is another action you can do. It is when you want to undermine (prevent them from expanding) a foreign power like Arissa.
What you have to do is to go to that system..pull out specific frighters like a pirate make them drop cargo and pick them up and then deliever them one of our controleld system.
However this is not working and is the very worst way to collect merits. It's factor 100 less efficient than any other action you can do.
The reason is that you if you don't kill the frighter it wont let you pick up the containers and fires on you or your drones all the time. If you kill him than 2 seconds later the police arrives and you can gather 1 or 2 containers in maximum bevor haveing to flee. If you dare to fire ont he police they come back with annacondas immediatly.
There is no way in heavens powerplay that this "steal something" undermining thing is anything you can actually play. So forget about that one.

I'm pretty sure expanding for Aisling involves transporting things from her control systems to the target systems, not the other way around.
If the text in the game states otherwise, it's "working as intended, we better focus on a completely new game mode totally disconnected from the main game than fix something".

ok so finaly got those stupid sealed contracts. it was in a controlled system, now i did that before but it is totally possable that i was to to notice them below the other options. as it clearly states in the game to go to systems she is exspanding in to. thanks guys for clearing that up. still a little fuzzy on how to steal stuff. some one said make them drop there cargo, so do i almost kill them? or do i send a msg to the npc (that would be cool) or is it just a random chance thing if i hang around them long enuf?

OK, bottom line, want to do good for this faction. 1st: Draxxon's tab above, is good. 2nd: If this is taking too long to work out how etc and it can do. Take the 10 from the top of the list and deliver anywhere 15 to 25 light years away from her HQ, look for systems, that are not spoken for, but within her own area of the galaxy. To practise, to learn and earn merits, then you are better off and so is the faction, to sort of mop up all the internal systems, once sorted, they all bring in CC, (not that I have a clue what CC means.) Enjoy, don't stress.

Maybe that game isn't for you.
Ask (that means read search google) the so proud pirate players how they make frighters drop the cargo. It's exactly the same mechanics no difference except you can let away the "I am a cool wanna be pirate please don't laugh at me" greetings in the chat. Or just try out different things yourself. Playing the game a little bit first helps.
Then ask the miners how you can collect the dropped cansiters because that's the next question you will have.
Not sure why you still want to to that undermining after explaining to you that it's the worst thing you can do if you want to get anywhere in PP rank. But good luck.

I've used the new collector limpte things they work pretty good mining still not quite fast enuf it takes forever to fill the clipper. I've actually played the game quite a bit, but i have no interest in piracy i even avoid most stations that have black markets. I asked about the undermining because i could see it being something that may need to be done, regardless if its the easiest to make rank.

actually now that i wrote that i feel like a moron, i totally forgot about the hatch break limpets ive never really looked at them but i bet thats what they do.(or i could be wrong?)

Yup. I never used one. No space for such toys on my ship.
I select their hatch (submodul selection) and fire with multicanons on them at close range. Unfortunatly the NPC frighters do everything to turn the hatch away from you which makes it an extremly hard task since the turn rate is superior to the 3D trhrusters you have. (they nerved the 3D fligtht capability once )
I don't like pirates. They are cowards as they stated by themself and are proud of it. There were several threads where they clapped on each others shoulder for run away instead take a half way fair fight.

Sealed Contracts get delivered From a Control System to an Expansion System.

If you have Sealed Contracts, open the Power Play tab for Aisling and look at the Expansion Tab. The contracts get delivered to any system on that list.
