Aisling News Bias, Who cares about her dress?

There should be an official resource for that lore where players who are new to the Elite universe can get more information than just "There is an Empire, an Alliance and a Federation".
It's really disappointing that there is almost no information about the history, the cultures and the political situation of the galaxy on the official Elite Dangerous website.

How about a few pages that give a new player the needed informations to make the galaxy a bit more believable and then maybe the "Ultimate Guide to the lore of Elite" as an e-book in the store?

I am hoping to write a few blog updates on things like this, like the Thargoid one I did last week. Stay tuned, Commanders.

Cheers,

Drew.

Nice, thanks!

I have to admit, that's always been a bit of a problem for me with the Elite games - collecting known data. Basically I always had to glean things through tidbits here and there, filling in the blanks with whatever made sense in my imagination.

Granted it's great that it spurs the imagination like that, but it would be nice to have a more grounded base to start from. The Thargoid collection you provided before is a great example :D

You need to research your lore, Commander. A hairstyle, a dress, a carefully guarded comment, even your presence, or lack of it at certain key events are the Imperials' way of communicating what is unspoken. Observe carefully.

Cheers,

Drew.

It's my theory that Aisling's dress is significant because she's worn red the last three times it's been mentioned in a row... and Patreus' personal colour has recently been revealed to be red.

Just out of curiosity, Drew, so what does Patreus' unusual hairstyle say?

I would love a big, coffee table hardback book of Elite lore to fill those times when I'm not allowed by my wife to play the game.
