ALERT: Fires in Imperial space!

In a good old FD fashion the game itself doesn't tell me anything gameplay related about this. So to someone who completely ignored entire thargoid "war" what do I actually do with all that? My guess is carry passengers out of stations to rescue ships in passenger cabins?

There's a Galnet article that tells you about it, and asks for CMDRs to ferry passengers out.

"We urgently request assistance from the galactic community with repairing these starports and rescuing their populations.”

People are complaining that they're just reusing thargoid mechanics.

However, there are currently two main theories why the corrosive effect has happened ;-

1) The terrorists used Enzyme Missile warheads as part of the bomb.
OR
2) The explosion ruptured the storage tanks of 'Princess' Aisling Duval Hair Dye. That stuff will eat through anything!

Personally, My money's on 2.

the fact that people are complaining is mind melting at this stage but yea, option 2 FTW!

you know what, i'v been in forum for 3 months now and when i got here general consensus was this, no communication, now i'm here and you get all this!

Well then... I'm 6000 LY from the Bubble, I haven't played in weeks and weeks, my Oculus is in the closet, and I'm totally addicted to MSFS 2020 at the moment. However, I have never experienced a burning station in VR.. Hmmm...

Decisions, decisions!

BTW, how long will this "event" last for?

are there any unique rewards/achievements for helping out a burning station? i'm farming mats in HIP 36601 at the mo
