Probably a dumb question, but we are looking for other bases on the first planet/Moon right?

And is Col 173 still a searh point, I am there but got distracted when I came across fumaroles?

They are. But I have another, probably dumb question: What's wrong with your forum ranking? :D

As someone mentioned it a couple o times already, certain places drain your SRV fuel.

Has this been shown?

It's just I have been unable to duplicate this.

Not saying it's not happening but confirmation bias is a thing and people say lots of things.

A couple of interesting patch notes, after reviewing them post discovery:

"- Fixed ancient collectables appearing as "Mining Fragments" on the GUI" - does this give an unintentional clue as to what they are or how to interact with them?

"Allow objects to be spawned in response to cargo being scooped" - so scooping certain cargo can lead to additional things being spawned? - reminds me a little of the pirate trap USS.

"Fix an issue with being unable to search for systems in "Lupus Dark Region B Sector" - might be nothing, but why would that sector have had issues?

Might not be anything to go on, but right now anything is possible

Meta-alloys appear(ed) as Mining Fragments when shot down from barnacle spikes. Might be that a similiar thing happened with the Ancient stuff.

The scooping/spawn objects doesn't ring a bell, and the Lupus blabla is because of the character length of the sector.

I'm not buying the coincidental decoration. The Pilot's Federation knows something.

There are several NPC organisations that possibly have knowledge of this/these sites and have had for a long time.

- CEIP (Circle of Elite Independent Pilots), knows more than anyone about Soontill.

- The Dark Wheel, knows about most mysteries in the galaxy and have shown great interest in Sap 8 Core.

- Team Aisling Duval. This one is a bit more complex, but Aisling is just a figure head for powerful backers. Probably including her own father Harold. Her organisation has access to Prismatic technology. The shields are available for PP backers and last year, Aisling did an exhibition of the ‘Prism’s Shades’ art installation https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/uid/cf45ee72bfc41c59770ace38773cca30c44f214a In May 3301.

This shady bunch may or may not have links to Emperors dawn.

- It is also possible that Kahina Tijani Loren has some knowledge.

- Sirius Corporation probably have links to all the above, except Kahina. I think they are the hub in the wheel when it comes to the alien story line. Thea also have historical links to INRA.

- INRA is a total dark horse. We know very little of their current position.

Might that be a way of FD giving us "Tips", where/what to look next? Just my speculation.

Those are just the available spaces to slot 19 of the blue (solved dots) into so they form a pattern and match up with the x,y coordinates. Unfortunately, part of the problem is that of the 23 unsolved dots, 6 of them are allotted to the supposed asteroid belt. Which leaves only 17 for the bottom left puzzle, when there's meant to be 19.

The nonogram numbers are simply wrong.

Although I haven't had time to check out the beacons myself I've been following this thread with interest. How is the number of rows and columns in the nonogram known? Are there pauses in the X-Ray and Yankee transmissions to denote a new row / column?

Perhaps of rows / columns is wrong and that is why the nonogram cannot be currently solved?

I wouldn't mind an experiment being done to determine this one way or another. We have one person in the base in an SRV, near the location we think is draining fuel. Then we have someone outside the base, maybe at least a kilometre away. Both stay stationary and start with full fuel tanks, then we see how quickly their fuel goes down.

What do people think? I would be able to assist with this if we can arrange a time.

Picture please? Did you try the healing beam to the relics (while on the towers)?

Ciao, Udo

Probably nothing special and just the usual healing beam effect. But still its interesting that the Ancient Relic gets healed and not damaged by the heal-laser.

Standard Laser do indeed damge the structure.

I have just been checking the fuel consumption stat for the SRV at various points.

I think the claim was the "patches" result in higher fuel consumption when you get close.

I see no change, so unless there's any evidence provided, for me I am just going to discount it as hearsay.

SRVs like the ship have a numeric fuel usage output.

Surely any change should be easy to notice, if one is stationary in two separate locations

unless you are suggesting it is draining faster than the fuel usage indicator, indicates

I was taking a look at the "channels" that are next to the long lines of Obelisks.

On investigating with the camera I could see that these are actually just the same as the Buttresses, but with only the top few inches showing.

I did notice that there are two distinct markings on the top of the Channel which are shown here.

Has anyone else seen either of these markings elsewhere at the site?

I to haven't noticed this effect, hence the call for an experiment. Given our limited tools in the game for actual science it is one of the few tests we could actually do :).

That is likely a better way of checking. As far as I can tell this should be reflected in the fuel usage indicator.

Welcome Commander !

You'll see that sometime your messages will go unanswered because of the thread going so fast but I love your idea as much as I love the Stargate lore.

I'd love to meet you ingame to talk about it and test some theories ! :)

Cheers !

Well, i expected as much...events and ideas are overturning themself, so this happens ;)

Interestingly enough, sounds do seem to play a pretty big role in the whole thing...it's a bit unfortunate, that we can only shoot the things, although my guess would be - since the healing beam seem to be making a real difference - we may need to repair that thing somehow

Sure, i'm still around at the crash site :)

I noticed a big increase in fuel consumption - but I hadn't played for a couple of months, it may be a result of a game update rather than the ruins per se.

Although I *was* in the ruins, but hey that's what I logged in to see.
