And then I joined in and couldn't keep my fingers away from Audacity![]()
I could be wrong, but I think someone found this not long after the UP sonogram too... at least I think I've seen it in the previous thread at some point. Might not be the same system though.
...(i know we had those pics before and where calling FD trolling us)...
yeah..this is too much like buying lotto tickets and hoping for the millions......and only getting the occasional $5 poi....and I've bellyflopped a bit too hard at one point, so off "home" scanning all on the way....might just crack elite exp this time
good luck searchers!!
Thanks for heads up, will keep fighting.
Phase 1 complete, pirate capital jumped out...waiting.
Brought heavy guns so I am excited
edit: nice scenery
edit2: nothing happened so far afterwards, took a look around, it seems this is what they came for:
wiki says:
You should report that as a bug, the Antares wreckage hunt CG was over ages ago!
It's possible that the ancient relics have more to them than we have seen so far. They look similar to the description of the Antares memorial.
'The memorial depicts a stylised version of the Highliner Antares, and has been constructed using light-bending meta-materials that allow light to pass through the interior of the ship as it rotates. As the sculpture moves, the intensity of the light increases, reaching a crescendo of brilliance before subsiding.'
Could the right light and angle show us more of what's inside the relic?
they werent surley survivors of the antares incident, the generation ships were over a much longer time frame up to 1000 years in the lore and backstory
Very possible, just seems the middle of this permit lock bubble right now. I tried searching its limit and it feels like it. Guess the name helps thinking that, but also Gamma Velorum really does exists compared to other Velorum systems in game. Wanted to add another bit of research about the word 'velorum' for the heck of it...
vēlōrum
1. Inflection of vēlum (genitive plural)
vēlum (genitive vēlī); (neut.)
1. the sail of a ship
2. a cloth, curtain, veil, awning
ps: Regor is Roger in reverse lol.
If you take another couple of pix of the telescope view, each separated by a couple of hours, then overlay them, if the telescope is tracking then the view will not have changed (assuming a reasonable planetary rotation period)
on another note.
the fact we can scan the towers like we can data points makes me think it's more like a storage system, maybe it's an already extinct and the towers are data storage of there History Tech achievements etc.
and maybe even clues to who killed them or what happened to them.
I don't suppose there are 7 Velorum systems are there?
