Yeah Normonsta i remember his post about the different hights for a visual but not about how far away you could hear it from...esp if you could hear it while in sc.

Im on the dark side and cant see anything : )

And it's to bad you are on xbox. Would have loved the company!

Hahahahahaha WELL DONE FD!

(although I don't think this is the only thing we were going to find here)

CapShip antennas in V 773 Cassiopeiae transmit this:

First glance in Sonic Visualizer:

Nicely done!
(i know we had those pics before and where calling FD trolling us ;) )

edit:

For rizal, as this should go to the frontpage:
(and for all the readers trying to keep up :) )

Eventlog:

And then I joined in and couldn't keep my fingers away from Audacity :D

I could be wrong, but I think someone found this not long after the UP sonogram too... at least I think I've seen it in the previous thread at some point. Might not be the same system though.

Yeah, I remembered that as well therefore my:

...(i know we had those pics before and where calling FD trolling us ;) )...

And after a little search I found it:

Click me!

edit: after completing the event multiple times, looking around in the system for a bit, it seems this is just an ordinary capship battle :(

yeah..this is too much like buying lotto tickets and hoping for the millions......and only getting the occasional $5 poi....and I've bellyflopped a bit too hard at one point, so off "home" scanning all on the way....might just crack elite exp this time

good luck searchers!!

Thanks dude. 14I and J still feel really damn good. I think we're on the right track.

It's possible that the ancient relics have more to them than we have seen so far. They look similar to the description of the Antares memorial.

'The memorial depicts a stylised version of the Highliner Antares, and has been constructed using light-bending meta-materials that allow light to pass through the interior of the ship as it rotates. As the sculpture moves, the intensity of the light increases, reaching a crescendo of brilliance before subsiding.'

Could the right light and angle show us more of what's inside the relic?

they werent surley survivors of the antares incident, the generation ships were over a much longer time frame up to 1000 years in the lore and backstory

Very possible, just seems the middle of this permit lock bubble right now. I tried searching its limit and it feels like it. Guess the name helps thinking that, but also Gamma Velorum really does exists compared to other Velorum systems in game. Wanted to add another bit of research about the word 'velorum' for the heck of it...

vēlōrum
1. Inflection of vēlum (genitive plural)

vēlum (genitive vēlī); (neut.)
1. the sail of a ship
2. a cloth, curtain, veil, awning

ps: Regor is Roger in reverse lol.

I don't suppose there are 7 Velorum systems are there?

If you take another couple of pix of the telescope view, each separated by a couple of hours, then overlay them, if the telescope is tracking then the view will not have changed (assuming a reasonable planetary rotation period)

Ok I travelled back to the 'Research Facility 5592' just now and looked again at the telescope (this is just over 24 hours on from when I did this yesterday). The telescope direction does not appear to have physically moved at all.

I again used the F1 camera and looked through the telescope, it appears to be looking at exactly the same part of the sky as yesterday. The stars are all in the same positions as before which was somewhat surprising as I was expecting them all to have moved.

I was viewing yesterdays sky image on one computer screen and comparing it to my live view on another (side by side) just now through the telescope. Distinctive stars were all in the same place as was the red nebula in relation to them. No change at all that I could detect.

The planet I am on has its own rotational period of -19.7 D whatever that means.

I am intrigued why there were the clues to this location and then the 4 hidden signal messages. A lot of FD effort has gone into this place either as part of just a story line or perhaps this facility should lead us somehow to the 'Alien' signal source they discovered here that has now lead to the personnel being 'cleansed'.

on another note.
the fact we can scan the towers like we can data points makes me think it's more like a storage system, maybe it's an already extinct and the towers are data storage of there History Tech achievements etc.
and maybe even clues to who killed them or what happened to them.

the obilisk data CG was for pattern delta :-
Pattern Delta Desc: Captured from obelisks found at ancient ruins, this data pattern is distinctive, and has been designated as 'Pattern Delta'. The meaning of this data type is not yet known. Com Log: Ancient Language Data (this is info from front page about said data).
so the data asked for was data about their language, so methinks it won't be decipherable by us players until the engi makes his/her breakthrough. at which point we will have access to Ancient Biological Data/Ancient Cultural Data/Ancient Technological Data/Ancient Historical Data.

On my way back from Ceos on my great FdL sightseeing tour, I found a listening post in system COL 258 Sector GI-H B 11-6 that gave me the following message:

117F513DC2C1EEBD5857E49EAE7E879E6F782F9F

Don't know if it's relevant or leads to anything, but still.

EDIT: It doesn't seem to match any of the messages on the front page, at least.
