So why launch a detailed map only to change it so comprehensively in this patch?... does this mean that there are more ruins sites which may have the structural detail we have been robbed of here..?

I truly doubt they forgotten, however trying to experiment with the encounter proves difficult when people fly around for hours and don't find it.
There are at least 3 different (non-hostile) things I'd personally like to try before aggravating it with a containment missile, but jumping around for hours no longer interests me.

The ruins are there and despite the adjudication server crashing every 7 mins accessible.

Plus we've been wait for this since FD mistakenly posted that news article in early December.

I PROPOSE THE FOLLOWING NUMBERS to map data to a proper obelisk. Everyone should keep look at the map and then simply write down the number as reference:

I've recently found 11/21 also historical, with the same combination

MAYBE THE SAME COMBINATION IS FOR THE SAME SET OF DATA

Wow, this threat is going fast. Was something discovered in the last... 16 hours?

Also an idea that came to me this morning while half asleep:
I remember that the Unknown Probe was considered some kind of "key". The Alien ship opens a portal to wherever. If the wake is selected I think it looked like some kind of keyhole. Maybe the UP fits into it and can open the door for our ships?

Have there been experiments with UPs and the wake. Like honking the UP near the alien wake?
