To possibly answer my own question, according to Simbad, HD 24481 is part of a binary with HR 1205 which is searchable in game. Someone want to check that system out?

I tried; it shows them at almost 3K Ly apart. Maybe I typed something wrong, could do with someone else checking too.

The galaxy map (and Simbad, as far as I can tell) shows HD 24480 for HR 1205, not 24481.

Interesting find. To buckyball or not to buckyball ...

HR 1205 is searchable and selectable in galmap. It's not in the same location as a search for HD 24481 takes you.

I don't have the system map for HR1205, so I can't tell if there is a star labeled HD 24481 in the system.

Give me half an hour, I'll stop by on the way to HD 24480 ...

COL 285 SECTOR RO-C b15-0 1 and 2 (the only 3 Ro-C sectors in col 285) all came up clean as far as inspace stuff no listening posts no aliens, i did find a higher than usual spawn rate of decoded and encoded emission sources there are pockets of the <500ly empty space just outsdie the bubble where these occour so nothing out of the ordinary. For now im just going to wodner around randomly looking for any odd content like unregistered comms beacons or lsitening posts

In a not very surprising twist, the stars of HR 1205 are called HR 1205 A and HR 1205 B. :)

Onwards ...

guessing that was a bit of a duster then ?

i look on with interest to that the federation exploration CG is in tau ceti - the leads going somewhere, it always seems to be the federation that pop up and suppress potential progress, i mean i am a federation supporter - but im starting to wodner if we should get behind the non federation entities in CGs a bit more to see where these sort of things lead

At least in key storyline areas and support them elsewhere

The geological sites will house all the organic structures as they come in. We currently have 1 site, I'm working on tracking down the other 2 so we can get them added. But of course more will be found here as they come in. We are stuck with limited ways on how to find them and with such limited finds it's hard to find a pattern on their creation but hopefully the finds will start pouring in, so stay tuned to those two places for the most recent finds.

Thanks for that MadDog, hoping that list will be a push for people to go out and explore the unkown and find it's secrets.

Thanks for putting this on the front page. I'd be nice to add the barnacle sites, but you guys have that pretty much covered already. Anyways, the more organic features and perhaps even alien features we find will go up on this spreadsheet. I'm trying to get the other organic finds on here but have tracked them down yet.

Thanks for the nod, and i really would like to see more geological features as tourism destinations, def. make me look into them a lot more.

The Barnacles Spreadsheet have been sitting on the frontpage for ages ;)
Barnacles Section/Post.

On a second note:

Your Spreadsheet is AMAZING! I love it ;)

I kind of miss the good ol barnacle days, we were just getting are feet wet for what was and is still to come.

Thank You, the spreadsheet has change a bit recently. Trying to get things a bit more organized but more presentable and a little fun too. It'll be nice to get some tools to better search for geological sites as well as these mysterious organic ones....

I may have to hop over to Colonia to investigate a bit and see if more pop up, or maybe even around those barnacle finds. If figure with the barnacles if they are similar to nature, there are some organisms that are housed inside and I wonder if perhaps those are shot out to seed other places and in turn those give us these different organic sites.

No - I just don't want to add tourist destinations if the location hasn't been discovered yet.

Michael

Qucik question, are these other organic locations something that are spread about the galaxy or concentrated in certain regions...say regions with mysterious things?

cryptic, so are u saying there are undiscovered tourist destinations to be found. That may contain interesting touristy things ?

and are mystery things also organic things or non organic things, anything related to AI consciousness ?

They want to see a list of the destinations we have discovered so they can add them as new tourist destinations. As they're the developers they know where they all are but don't want to add them if people haven't come across them yet as it wouldn't make sense to have a sightseeing trip out to something that nobody knows is there :)
