I have scientific evidence. Based on research and current trends. UA bombing probably dropped off since its less effective now. Possibly now some story progression may happen rather than being in a storyline limbo.
A year of closed stations yielded no purpose, scientific study or development. If you have evidence to suggest otherwise i'd be happy to examine and discuss that.

also i believe the figures you quote regarding population and UA numbers have been disproven too.

and its not all due to a few bombers it would seem also. Some part seems to of been played by them but other factors are responsible for the spread i believe.
A few cases nobody could of triggered those stations as the means to interact were not there.

ok well i can in the next week deliver at least 100-200 (what ill do is aim for the lowest population centers) outposts and the like, ill only put a station into partial shutdown before i move on, lets see how this pans out. Both theroies are possible but id like to shake things up a bit

Define "less effective".

I personally stopped because the spawn rates of UAs in the UA shell dropped massively after an update. When I say massively I mean I went from getting 20-odd in a 2 hour timeframe to getting 4-6 in a 3 hour timeframe.

I *could* go to a wreck site with UAs and relog for them, but I'd rather gouge my own eyes out with rusty wire...

Thousands of years ago? Or millions? Or billions? Do we have any indication of how old these ruins are supposed to be?

Also insert my usual complaint about a lack of evidence that any of these mysteries are connected ;)

There is no evidence that they are connected, except that Kahina/Salome claimed that they are. https://community.elitedangerous.com/en/galnet/uid/57badafa9657ba3925e88545

This is of course a freelance report and the quote is from the acted NPC, Commander Salomé.

It also does not mention the Guardians at all. All we have there is the 'old Lady' from Reclamation, claiming that whatever is in the Formidine Rift is more trouble than the Thargoids.

The age thing is even more circumstantial.

If i were to guess, I would say about 10,000(+- a few thousand) years old.

- Soontill relics 'could well be tens of thousands of years old'.
- Greek and Egyptian mythology being used as hints.
- Vela Supernova, 11,000-12,300 years ago (from RL time).

I would not call it more than a hunch. Far from evidence.

I don't think the UAs are less effective. They are just a bit harder to find.

On top of that the Meta-Alloy cure is significantly more effective, as a result the Sirius campaign: https://community.elitedangerous.com/en/galnet/uid/58876d569657ba8c1ac2d313

In total, UA bombing is less effective.

Plenty are still searching for the theorised different sites out there

I gave up because, like how the data bleed bugs generated a false expectation that we needed to work out how "unlock" more obelisks, the solo relogging bugs which cause the apparent + sites make me wonder if we have to actually find more sites, or if they are equally bugged and we should actually be able to solve it with what we have.

This is the gamebreaking issue with this activity.

Today NASA have filed another press release following the TRAPPIST-1 announcement yesterday:

'Following yesterday's announcement of the discovery of 7 potential earth-like worlds around TRAPPIST-1, we've been inundated by exploration reports from intrepid space pilots.
Rather than interpret their words, we'll use the direct report of Commander Mad Dog Murdock:

"So yeah, went there pinged and scanned. 7 HMCs, total waste of time."

NASA has no further comment at this time.'

Planets mass and radius are similar to earth?

So, I finally completed this. Big thanks to Cmdrs AppleJack, Cougar, ShadyNinja and all the others that patiently waited about, relogging and providing amusing banter. Bio10 took over 50 tries and finally lit when only two people were still on site. Good luck to the rest of you that are trying to complete this!View attachment 115015

For a feature that FDev consider a massive success it's not ideal....

Wonder if support did manage to complete the mission in solo? Kind of amazed at how progress has completely ground to a halt here despite people's continued efforts. Are we missing some ruin types or is it simply broken?

It has been repeatedly stated by QA that it is possible to complete the puzzle in solo despite the acknowledged bugs.

Hmm. They said it was all working properly, then they said it's working in solo. Then sometime later they said no it's not and the resetting isn't working like it should - I'm a very long way from sold that they've actually played it through and checked right to the end.
