i can confirm getting history 21 from exactly that site, i've just scanned it yesterday in solo mode. the interactive map also shows J6 as an active obelisk (also giving history 21), which is quite weird.
the interactive map shows 3 active obelisk in that row, but i only had 2. if i remember correctly, the obelisk J6 (marked as active) is actually a broken obelisk, i mean physically damaged not bugged.
the second active one was J9 for history 19 as shown in the map.
if it's a gamma 2+ site, your canonn mate might haven't seen the obelisk active for history 21 because he didn't reload (going to main menu and back).

After a week of fruitless jump&honk above and below regor sector I had already given up and was heading back on fastest route plotting when I stumbled across them:
I did not check obelisks, so I can't say anything about what info can be gathered there.

The moon has a temperature of only 207K.
1st: type elmo(?) (circles)
2nd: type hexagon. It has the same layout as the first one discovered in Synuefe xr-h d11-102 1 B

Congrats! Check the front page for the canonn submission form and you can also check if they're + sites
Anything interesting at Vela?
There are some clusters that are likely tied to Guardians, depending on known ruins location:
1.NGC 2451a - I'm sweeping this now and scanning "chemical suspects", hoping to find more space fungi.
2.Vela Dark Region
3.BD-17 3140
4.Collinder 121 Open Cluster
5.Collinder 140 Open Cluster

Disappearing asteroid-wonder how big the dust cloud is? Is it sufficient to account for all the mass? This disappearance could either be weapon testing (human or alien), or it could be an alien ship that appeared to be an asteroid but which has now been moved. A sphere is a good shape for a generation ship (max volume per surface area, so minimal hull cost) for an alien species & over millenia it would accrete space dust and meteor craters. I've speculated many times on this thread that Merope 5C could be one of these.
Edit: Stolen MAs- FRift thread has already concluded this is the Cobra belonging to Luko from Elite Reclamation, so an interesting plot event.

From the most recent galnet HIP 16497 is the system. I decided to catalog every planet.
System has no beacons or anything. Pretty empty. no asteroid belt's either. There is an ammonia planet though if thats any correlation.

Yes, it was in solo. And you need a relog to light up +obelisks.
If I've done well to keep up with the thread it should be the only place to get Tech 5.

Sadly, it's not without common precedent that things like this, such as the S6:7 ship, the meta-alloy theft, Col 70/Wreaken Construction etc. appear in galnet with no tangible or logical in-game activity/observable effect.

The recent meta alloy theft in a Cobra with call sign LUC appears to have a connection with ED books and a well known character who uses such a ship. The pilot's name (not nickname) matches the callsign, the ship name is different.
That is the only tangible thing so far, but whether there is something to find in game or not I do not know. Would be cool if there is. Particularly their hideout!

I suspect this is a teaser (or hint) for rock-hermits. (I can't remember for certain off the top of my head whether they're due to be added at some point or are already in the game.)
