Engineers Alioth permit: best place to rank up

So like so many before me I went and mined my bromellite before realising I needed a permit to access alioth. Any advice on the best sectors to earn the permit? As always cheers me deers for any and all helpful advice received

Find a system near Alioth and get yourself ALLIED with Alioth Independents, a local faction. Run missions for Alioth Independents in order to raise your REP with Alioth Independents to ALLIED and as you do so your REP with The Alliance also rises but the point is, your Alioth Permit mission will come from Alioth Independents. I do not remember exactly which system I used but it was an Alioth neighbor. o7

Rominger Dock in 78 Ursae Majoris is controlled by Alioth Independents.

You could sell exploration data, rare goods or other commodities to increase rep in addition to missions. With the increase in value of exploration data it's very useful to increase faction reputation.

Here's a list of some planets to scan that might be enough to make you allied with Alioth Independents.
They're all in the same region about 250ly from Alioth I think

Col 285 Sector xf-M c8-14 – earthlike world
Col 285 Sector WK-M C8-12 – water world, 2nd planet
HR 4680 – water cft, 4th planet
Gliese 460 – rocky 8a, earth 9.
TYC 1990-2094-1 – Class II gas giants (x2), water world, 4th planet
HIP 60458 – metal rich, 3 hmc.
RW Comae Berenices – water world cft
HIP 60490 – 4th planet, hmc cft
HIP 60197 – hmc cft, 2nd planet, rocky cft, water cft orbiting 3rd planet, class II gas giant, 4th planet
Melotte 111 av 1682 – ammonia world 5th planet.
2MASS J12285766+2746482 – water cft, 1st planet
HIP 59399 – 1st planet hmc cft

Sweet on my way to pick up the Python after selling the bromellite pointless dragging that pirate magnet around with me and il get the permit far quicker in that. Thanks for the help

Fastest way - do passenger missions for somebody else (at your convinience) far away, and honk with ADS. Then drop 2.500.000 Cr exploration data at 78 Ursae Majoris - and you are allied. THEN take there missions with Bromellite as a reward.
It is the fastest way, Ive tried trade, missions, bounty hunting, donations.

CMDR Elementical gave You the most valuable advice.

Missions is the slowest way to become allied with a faction, though if they don't own any stations, bases or outposts you can have little choice. But the Alioth Independents own stations in a few systems near Alioth. Exploration data, legal trade, rare goods, bountyhunting or combat bonds (if AI is in a war) - all these are faster methods than running missions.

Fastest way to rank up with ALioth independents is to go on a small exploration trip, come back and dump the cartographic data at a station owned by them. You may still have to wait for the invite, but at least it will save you the grind nature of their missions (one data run at a time).

I did it this weekend by entering a conflict zone in the system while getting the 50 t of bromilte you will need to open bill turner. If that's why you going there.

I will login later and tell you system it was. If was 1 jump away from alioth

Wouldn't be any point. If the conflict was a few days ago, most likely it would be over by now. They generally only last 3 days. But if you are looking for one, the faction news in any station a faction is present will tell you if and where they are at war.
