All, I see a lot a threads about, my ship was destroyed in seconds...

So in a tricked out cutter that about 10% or less of the game population can afford. Also admitted to screwing up harder than anyone who has less that 30 hours in the game either purposfully or on negligence. Your thinly veiled attempt at sarcasm makes you look even less intelligent than the statement you left. Goodbye.

Control your winds, they sound like language. I play ED since Jan 2015. I am just no pew pew boy and avoid conflicts unless I see a good chance of surviving.

I'm not a combat guy, and yes, I'm guilty of receiving my Master combat rating by shooting fish in a barrel.

So now it's like when I first started playing, and I'm relearning and refining my tactics in combat. One thing I figured out a while ago, is that the "all around" build, doesn't work well for me. I do better with multiple ships, that are specialized (trading, explorations, combat...). I don't agree with the "get good" crowd, I think that over simplifies things, and is generally just an argument made to be condescending. I do accept that I need to change my approach to combat, and that what I was able to do before, will now get me killed (like choosing a faction in the middle of a combat zone).

As the AI is now, I have to be much more aware of my shield strength, the pips in my distributor, and my defensive modules. I also need to know when to swallow my pride, and RUN!

Only time my ship was "destroyed in seconds" was when I dropped into a Distress Call, & got set upon by 6 pirates. Even then I think I lasted over 30 seconds-& almost managed to jump out.

It was a salutory lesson on the importance of point defense, to be honest.

I have reported a few incidents in the forums (dammed if I can find them now, but they should still be there), where I had a A Rated fully battle hardened FAS and Pythons which were shredded within 10 seconds by a single NPC Eagle and Imperial Courier, the FAS was via an indiction and the Pythons from within a Hazres site, within the first 5 seconds I had lost shields and thrusters, then within the 10 seconds lost the ship, in total I have lost 4 ships in similar circumstances in the past 3 months, it does happen, so it looks like there are still a few insanely engineered NPC ships doing the rounds.

What I did not get were the NPC's names, still reported it to Fdev, while it was only 4 ships, it did cost me a pretty penny, but still going strong.
