All Weapon Stats in Actual Values Test Results (Stage 1 – Shield DPS)

Invaluable table, thanks a lot for making it.

But why energy usage for projectile weapons is not shown? They still use weapons capacitor (especially visible for higher caliber weapons like cannons).
Would be interesting to see what their DPE values.

Anyone tested the C2 PA's since horizons and able to give stats similar to the original post?

Thanks

They appear to use around 9.5 Mj of energy per shot, and do around 57 damage. That puts their efficiency at an entirely reasonable 6 DMG / Mj. They're an extremely solid weapon, now.

I was actually looking at this chart to see which type of C1 lasers would be best for my ship, and I noticed that the weapons I am currently use which are C1 E Beam Lasers aren't actually on the list.

All three class 1 beam lasers are on the list. Your ones are definitely there. The letter is for (F)ixed, (G)imballed and (T)urret, not the useless rating.

Ah right ok that makes sense. It's just confusing because the only available lasers I can find are actually rated F and G on the useless rating. Lol

I tried the class 1 pulse instead of the class 1 beam and fond a significant decrease in performance. The beam seems to take people's Shields down faster, which in my small ship is way more valuable to me as in PvE te enemy seems to change behaviour without Shields so it's really important they are down as fast as possible regardless of heat or energy use to me.

Good chart though. Thanks to the people who tested it.

Its because there is redundant information on weapon stats in game, they have a rating but its fixed and can't be changed so everyone on the forum generally uses C to denote class (1-4) and F/G/T for fixed/gimballed/turret

for example all huge plasmas are rated A, but nobody would mention that it'd be called C4 PA (no fixed/gimballed/turret for this because its fixed only)

Looking at the charts and reading all the comments , i am surprised about C4 PA ; i went on it with my FDL. Many people tell that's a great weapon , but aside the fact i hardly hit efficiently with them ( need to train ,ok ok ) , i was disapointed by the damage output and thus the overall dps :
On hulls i found a great range of damages even on the same ship . Sometimes it works extremly well and sometimes i rip off only a few % .
As for subsystem damages , ok the splah helps , but even with it i never saw the efficiency i had sometimes with C4 Gimb Canon .
Considering the difficulty to aim at target / or subsystem ,plus the low rate of fire , i am quite amazed so many people are fond of it .

I personnaly prefer rail guns ( imp hammer or regular ) . I find them more easy to use and more steady in term of damage output.

Still i wonder if i am not missing something cause , so far , i can't really enjoy my FDL's C4 hardpoint ( canon is ok but , not so easy to use as well) .

Am i the only one to feel this way or what ?

You're definitely not the only one. I got an FdL about a week ago and after reading the over the top reviews, decided too to put a C4 PA on the huge hardpoint. Now, I understand that I also need practice because, frankly, the FdL is the first real ship that is so maneuverable to me. The closest I got before it was the Clipper. I have a Python, an Anaconda and a Cutter. So, going to the FdL was quite a surprise. However, like you, I find that I have very average results with it. Whenever it hit, which is not often, specially if your target is small and fast like an Eagle, it's not the devastating damages I am expecting. Like I said, I certainly need practice, having the FdL for about a week and flying it usually at the end of my ED session. Still, I have been considering putting the gimbaled cannon on it, like I have on my larger, less maneuverable ships. Unless I'm also missing something...

Glad to see i am not alone :)
I indeed have lot of trouble outfitting my fdl the way i wish to feel in a >95M cr heavy fighter . I ran so far ( after the plasma ) an outfit composed of 2 c2 pulse gimb and 2 c2 burst gimb , with a c4 gimb canon . It is rather good for cz , res and compromised beacon , but found it not so efficient in assassination vs huge ships . I have a python and clipper but never used them as combat ship. I come from a long time on imp.courrier , which is more nimble , good shields and decent punch. Tried the railgun on it and loved it. So i fitted 2 on FDL and find this decent ( but put a c3 burst gimb on c4 hardpoint :( ). I will perhaps give C4 PA a new try and training ground , but if i feel better with dual railgun ( imp.hammer in 2 days) then i'll stick to that.
Anyway I am impatient to see C4 new weapons of 2.1 to use FDL at is full power regarding my skills...

Well, in addition of the fixed C4 PA, I have 2 medium gimbaled beams and 2 medium gimbaled pulses. The beams and the pulses mostly do the job. I was able to take out an elite NPC in an Imperial Cutter all by myself yesterday in a CZ. I have really no complain but wish the PA would be more effective, from my lack of aiming skills and the damage it causes when it finally hits. I think I had 2 hits on the Cutter yesterday from the PA. Of course, even though the Cutter is quite fast for its size, it's not as nimble as an Eagle, so shots from a fixed weapon are more likely to hit. Maybe I need to create an additional fire group. On my main, I have all my weapons on the primary trigger and shield cells on the secondary. Maybe I need another one with only the lasers on the primary and the shield cells on the secondary, then switching to the fire group with the PA when I'm reasonably sure of hitting. It just takes, as you pointed out, a long time to reload so, if you miss, you won't be able to fire the PA for a while.

Ok , thanks for your feedback . As for me , I usually have all gimb weapons on one trigger and all fixed on the other. I then split into groups depending on the mix, to handle different situations ( thus I must admit than 3 groups is the maximum to keep calm and manage swap efficiently, above can be a mess in a severe fight).

Well , I couldn't play last night. I figured out some different loadouts to try , all including imperial hammer. When all is tested ,I 'll see if PA training worthes the try or not. I'll try to post the loadout of my final choice (could take time :) ).
Fly safe
