Alliance ranking or unlocking Aloith

I've completed a few thousands missions. I'm presenly at Viscont and 50%, VisAdmiral at 90%. But I've not gained even 1% with the Alliance since launch day. Not one percent. How is that possible, I mean I've had to do something at some point for them, right. Something either bad or good should have showed up in the graph which shows the progress. But the gauge indicating progress up or down in the Alliance hasn't moved from it's original 2% since launch.

How does one gets any reputation with the Alliance. Unless one has to swear alligence with them, which I haven't done with any of the other two, how does one get any ranking with the Alliance? Ok, I know there's no real reason, it would seem that doing so only unlocks one system in the midest of 4 billion who cares about one. It just seems as if there is no actual Alliance specific or at least I've not come accross any in the thousands I've done, that are Allinace specific.

What Lighthouse said- of you want the permit, complete missions/bounty hunt/ trade/ turn in exp. data to 78 Ursae Majoris.

And your super power rank will slowly decay over time until you hit 75%. Once you hit 75% it will never go below that threshold again.

This, until FDev decides to give the Alliance ranks and ships we're stuck with the old fashion way of obtaining permits for their home system.

I am friendly with The Alliance - How? I went to Gateway - the home system of Ed Mahon - and did missions for The Alliance from there - and my rep with them has improved.

Alioth - is a different kettle of fish. I am there now doing missions. Doing mission for Alioth Independents does have a very marginal increase with The Alliance as the attached superpower but Alioth Independent are NOT The Alliance they are a minor faction, so just working for Alioth Independents would be a slow way to up your Alliance status.

If however you want the Alioth permit - you need to get allied with Alioth Independents doing missions for them.
